- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Jennifer Paterson started the company in 1987. She was trained from an early age in classical music. She went on to have a successful career as a singer, broadway, and then an opera singer in London. When she started the company, she knew there were a lot of great musicians but not all of them could teach. She wanted to bring high quality and good teachers to students. Jennifer sold the company back in 2017 but still maintains the same quality of teachers and her mission along with some employees that have been with the company for over 15 years. We changed our name California Music Studios to California Music Lessons back in 2019 to help avoid confusion with a recording studio.
