Beth did a great job! We have a German Shepherd puppy that was really difficult on walks. Uncontrollable pulling and barking at everything! Both are a work in progress still because she is still a puppy but the tools that we have now are definitely the most effective things we've tried! Also started having issues jumping on people... no more of that!
He's awesome! We just had 2 lessons and my Toby is a changed dog. I had other trainers before and didn't get the results we needed for Toby on how to behave . Looking forward to more lessons.
We are very happy with the results we’ve seen with our German Shepherd, Bella. The training techniques are not quick-fixes, not a way to demand control, but rather a gradual building of relationship and trust, which leads to greater confidence in both the dog and the owner. We have a solid relationship with our dog now. Things that were a power struggle in the beginning, come much more naturally.
Mark was fantastic, he definitely helped my boyfriend and I understand our german shepard/husky mix a bit better and gave us lots of tips on how to fix our concerns with her, which was barking and even growling/lunging at people. We will definitely be going back in a few months for a follow up and will go to him for all our future dog training needs. He kept things easy to understand and you can really tell he is passionate about what he does. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a dog trainer
Emily is AMAZING! After one hour with her our German shepherd was already behaving better. She explained in depth the behaviors of our dog and then had us do some hands on training with him. She has classes every week which are convient and affordable! I strongly recommend her!!!
I met with Ben this morning to help train me so I could train Jaxs my Black German Sheppard that I rescued from the shelter. He showed me how to train him to walk on a leash so he wasn't dragging me down the road we overcome the fear my dog had from getting in my truck to the vacuum. We walked past people walking their dogs with ease where before he would drag me to get to the other dogs to play. we went over basic commands sit, stay and down and where my dogs go to place would be( his bed). He taught me about how important it is for me to always walk thru the door before my dog and what place my dog should be in when someone comes to the door. I have had to large dogs before which are now in doggie heaven that I trained but the training that I received from Ben was a godsend I feel confident now that I can give my dog a happy and loving life by learning how to be the leader of this pack.
I would highly recommend K.O. Dog Training. The trainers, Philip and Michelle were great to work with. They were prompt to each session and made themselves available in between in case I had questions or concerns. They were very patient with me as a new puppy owner and great with my dog, Teddy. Our sessions are over and they made it clear that they are an available resource to me for the life of my dog. I am very pleased with the progress that Teddy (and I) have made.
My friend recommended Tommy to me when i got my German Shepard puppy. it was his best idea ever! Tommy was so kind and gentle eith the 4 And 2 legged members if his class. He asked about what food we were feeding, what our breeds were made for,etc and then began training the Owners rather than the dogs. After 6 weeks we saw improvement in bith the owners and dogs and after performing thr basic commands and a trick, we all received diplomas! I loved the place so much that i let Simon go to doggie day care to socialize with dogs of all sizes and breeds. 2 years later i got another shepard, Lancaster, and Tommy’s training helped me so much having 2 large boys but they are so sociable and friendly and i love them to death and they love their Mommy. Thanks ro Tommy’ classes we have a happy househokd !!
Cat helped us with our dog Diesel. He is a German Shepherd that had behavior problems and aggression towards dogs and people. She is a top notch dog trainer. She took the time to learn about Diesel and what his needs were and then worked and trained him to be a better dog. Some dog trainers only have one way of training. Cat is not this way. She can assess your situation and your dog and work with you to come up with a plan that will meet your needs. She uses many styles of training and will find the one that will work for you and your pet. Cat has always been punctual with all of our appointments. Cat and all the staff at The Laundered Mutt & Training Center are kind, friendly and love animals. Thank you Cat for helping Diesel to be a better dog and for helping us to be better dog owners!!
I bought a dog (german shepherd puppy) from Kris a couple years ago for sport work. He set me up with training and my dog is THE best trained dog I have ever owned. She has a balanced and stable temperament on top of fantastic obedience and protection. I am so incredibly happy with her and Kris is extremely knowledgeable in dog behavior and dog training of all aspects. I recommend Taylor made Working Dogs for any source of dog training or buying.
Jaymie did a fine job watching our family's young German Shepherd and old orange cat. She put my son's mind at ease about leaving his dog for the very first time for a family vacation. She braved the downpour rains and flooding to come 3 times a day to our house which was in the San Diego "tornado zone" the week she cared for our pets. Highly recommend Jaymie.
Tom is an amazing dog trainer on so many levels! Not only knowledgeable in his field, but kind and compassionate and dogs truly love him!! My German shepherd actually liked going to training!! I highly recommend Tom.
Amazing! David was amazing with my dog. I had a dog who had several issues on top of not having any obedience. We tried other trainers before him and they couldn't help him. We finally found David and he did a wonderful job. He got our dog to stop lunging, barking, tearing up our things, helped us build a bond, and taught him obedience commands. I am very grateful for everything he's done.
2 month Ago, my German shepherd was out of control . Now I feel like if I have a new dog and thanks to the amazing coach he is able to Sit at any given time, he stopped pulling the leash when I take him on a walk, he is able to wait when I want to leave the house without having him trying to come outside with me or run outside and many more cool things !! They are amazing group - Ismail
Britta was amazing! Britta came out to our home to help us with our 1 year old German shepherd, who needed a lot of structure and we needed a lot of guidance. Britta was exactly what we all needed!
Nothing could've been better!! We just had one task for Ted which was transitioning our (people and dog) aggressive German Shepherd into a friendly and tame dog. The results were astounding when we saw him after board training!!! It was like seeing a brand new dog approaching us!! Thanks so much Ted!! 10/10 would recommend
Shelley is an incredible person and Dog trainer. Her passion for animals far exceeds her Job description. Her methods are right on and they WORK. I highly recommend Shelley, she is worth every penny.
Gonzalo is one of the most present, kind, thoughtful, insightful humans you will ever interact with. He deeply listens, he cares and he is a Master with understanding dogs and their behavior. Don’t hesitate, from small undesirable quirks to dauntingly exhausting behavior... call Gonzalo. There’s no better trainer or human to call for help. He will give you the exact support and information that you desire. His first goal is to give you insights and suggestions and tangible and realistic actions that you can take on your own to train your dog in the way you need to experience more ease & harmony together. And if you’re too busy with life Gonzalo will train your dog, working together with you over time to create sustaining good health and behavior in your dog. We adopted a 4-year-old dog who is guessed to be some sort of mix including English bull terrier & Australian shepherd. She was found starving, laying down, not much more then a skeleton, on a mountain about two years ago. When we got her home we realized that she had a seriously neurotic tic... of spinning, spinning round and round and round relentlessly, all day spinning. It was maddening. Entering into a committed relationship that will last over a decade, I sunk in despair, how could I live with this? It caused so much anxiety in me. Gonzalo came over and in one visit that lasted a few hours he gave us insight into her emotional and mental body and left us with a handful of precise tips for action that we with integrity committed to. She was cured her of her seemingly uncontrollable spinning. We are so happy with our angel dog. Her and our 5-year-old son are best friends. She’s so incredibly sweet and chill.
I've been working with Heidi for awhile now. When I first started, my dog had a lot of issues with other dogs. He was very reactive and afraid of them and we couldn't even go for a walk outside the house without it being a nightmare. It's been about a month, and my dog walks like a gentleman now, right next to me. Heidi has been working with me on desensitization. We do lots of treats every time we see another dog, from a far distance, and my dog no longer fears them. The distance is slowly decreasing. I like that Heidi is affordable. Her rate is much lower than other trainers I have worked with, and the results are better. I had almost given up on training my dog, Brutus, when a friend referred me to Heidi. I like that she doesn't use choke chains or pinch collars. I've had trainers tell me these were the only options for my dog and she has proven to me that they aren't. She explained to me right away why these methods don't work, the psychology behind it, and that they are better options that may take longer but won't make my dog go back to old habits because this way we are treating the emotions behind the behavior, and the cause, not just the symptoms (the barking and reactivity). I will be continuing to work with her and referring her to friends for years to come. Thank you! Also, I'm not sure why the bad review but that doesn't sound like Heidi at all. I have friends who are working with her as well, and her fees are explained very clearly on her website, in her contract, and in person. She charges $80 per session when they are paid for individually, and $65 per session when they are paid for in groups of 3. I buy in groups of 3 so training is costing me about $200 a month! And that rate is about half of what most of the local trainers in San Diego charge. Of the previous trainers I worked with, one charged me $125 per session to stick a prong collar on my dog and gave no actual training. And it made my dog worse. The other charge me $100 per session and told me that my dog would need a behaviorist and referred me to someone who was charging $3000 for boarding camp. So at $65 a session I couldn't ask for a better deal compared to what is out there.
Ed has been our dog trainer for about two years now. We could have stopped going to class a long time ago, but my dog and I had so much fun we keep going back. Ed has helped turn my rescue "project" into a perfect gentleman with hands-on classes and clear, no nonsense instruction. He is reliable, enthusiastic, and cares about your results. Class is an hour, but he is always willing to spend the extra time it takes to get it right.
If you want to build a close bond with your dog (or cat), the trainers at Whole Dog Training will help you understand how dogs learn using positive reinforcement methods only. You will learn to be a leader while you and your dog learn and have fun. Your dog will look forward to training and so will you!
Grace was absolutely amazing! After an exhaustive search to find a dog sitter, I feel SO lucky to have found North County Pet Pawsitive Watch. My requirements were- affordable, leave my dog with sitter at their home, somewhere my dog wouldn't be in the kennel all day and someone I could trust. Grace was all of these things and more! She sent me text updates and pictures. Bennett (my dog) had soo much fun!!! I highly recommend and I plan to use NC Pet Pawsitive again, definitely! :-)
Down Dog walks my two dogs, a Corgi and a French Shepherd. I'm disabled and it's hard to get in their exercise. I can trust the trainer to handle my dogs appropriately and keep them safe.
I have just communicated with Brad and was extremely happy with his knowledge and willingness to assist with my needs for assistance with training a German Shepherd strong willed, stubborn and handsome. Thank you Brad for getting back to me so quickly and making my Christmas Present a reality. Gratefully, Christie
Daniel has a gift! He is so calm with our busy Rottweiler puppy! Not only does he really care about dogs, but he is an excellent trainer. He teaches our puppy 2-3 new behaviors in each session and then shows me how to reinforce the training. I believe his client list will grow quickly so I would get on his list as soon as possible! On top of his great skills, you have to add his amazing affordability. He has been a wonderful find and we are so thankful to have been able to hire him.
i have referred julie to several pet owners (cats and dogs) and they have been thrilled with her loving care when they have to be away!
