Introduction: I bring a great deal of my life experience of work with many different populations of all ages, abilities and disabilities in combination with years of aquatic training to my craft. I have found an ease of working with people from all walks of life that greatly enhances the work we do together. We co create each lesson from a unique starting point each time we meet.
From working alongside other teachers I bring you the benefit of a rich exchange of unique tools that enhance and accelerate the learning process.
Swimming is a Life Skill and I have a joy and a mission to bring that skill and safety practices to as many as I can for as long as I can.
The water is a wonderfully supportive and healing environment to learn in and to develop this important life skill in an integral way.
The breakthroughs experienced in swim lessons can have a ripple effect into other areas of our lives with the confidence and relaxation skills we gain.
I find huge satisfaction in seeing the small and large hurdles being acquired by my students. Some adults who never felt athletic their whole lives suddenly realize how coordinated they really are. For others the progress is slow, non linear, then sudden! Everyone has their own way and it's lovely to find that. Time and time again I see students gain enough of the building block skills until they can actually swim for the first time and go on to improve by two or three levels within one session.
I am committed to bringing an ease of movement and breathing at all levels of ability whether it is for the beginner or the competitive swimmer and this foundation proves itself over and over again.
Another delight I have is in supporting new freedoms for those with unique challenges because we've discovered a pathway to learning that's just right for them.
If you have the intention then you have what it takes for this journey.
