Since starting my training career in 1984 and obtaining fitness certifications from the Health and Fitness Institute at Cal State University in Hayward in 1991, I have been a professional health and fitness coach for over 30 years and have improved clientele such as post cancer patients, paraplegics, professional athletes and everyone in between. I recently turned 50 and my professional training biography has spanned the last three decades. Having gone through similar shared experiences, it has helped me specialize in stage of life training. In your 20's it's all about how you look and appeal to the opposite sex. In your 30's your life starts to take shape and stress starts to mount up. Physically you may also feel that recovery is starting to take a little longer and worse yet, you have gained weight. In your 40's things have doubled up. Internal physical problems are starting to occur like raised cholesterol, high blood pressure and possible respiratory, joint, circulatory and diabetic issues. And more weight has definitely been added from the previous 10 years. In your 50's and beyond, the odds of major diseases stemming from inflammation is very high if you're not in shape and weekly strength and cardio program should be part of your lifestyle to help lower those health risks. Needless to say as life goes on, you sacrifice yourself to provide for others and fir your success and your health us not a top priority. Now you obviously cannot undo the past however it us time to reinvent yourself for the future. It's about creating a new standard for your health and making it second nature to your life. Remember you are getting older and you only have one body to live in so take good care of it. If weight loss is one of your goals, it is common for my clients to lose 20 - 40 pounds in 16 to 24 weeks. I use my own proprietary assessment and workout formula that I developed after 20,000 workouts from over 25 years of experience. With this formula, I can predict your fat loss in a given time, and create a plan so that 70%, or more of the weight you lose is fat. If your trainer is not tracking exactly how much muscle vs. fat you are losing, you are likely losing much more muscle than fat! This means you will appear to have lost almost twice as much as you actually have! Clients that lose 25 lbs. with me appear to have lost 40, etc. My introductory rate is $50 for a one hour fitness, body composition and nutrition assessment to see how my proprietary method can benefit you!
