Ms. Nikitenko is an accomplished opera singer. No doubt, when one hears her sing Mimi or Violetta, she won't be able to hold back her tears(like I couldn't). Her clear, steady, beautiful coloratura soprano voice soars across the hall. She is also a great actress. Her dynamic stage presence permeates in every role she had ever played. As a voice teacher, Ms. Nikitenko taught me the art of Bel Canto method, a tried-and-true classical vocal technique, which is applicable to any style of modern singing. She helped to determine my voice type, very keen about choosing right material for my vocal development. She was compassionate, skillful, insightful and very observant of my changing needs. She is also a skilled pianist, so it helped a lot when my voice needed to learn how to flow naturally with the music. I highly recommend Svetlana as a voice teacher for any one who is considering to learn the art of singing!

I took vocal lessons from Svetlana for over five years and absolutely loved her! She encouraged me to study many different kinds of music and we sang everything from Rodgers and Hammerstein to Mozart to Jason Robert Brown. Svetlana is a working performer herself so she understands the vigorous demands of singing opera or live theater 5-8 times a week. I learned great technique and visualizations that help me achieve the sound I want, even today. Highly recommended!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There are no complications. Pay after the each lesson (check or cash are excepted). If you can't make to a lesson for different reason, call in advance. If something happened on a day of lesson still I appreciate if you call sooner or later. If there are no calls with explanation I have to charge a full fee. I am not charging if there are emergency calls with explanation why you could not make it.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of NATS and AGMA.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Just want to share with my stage experience, the secrets of singing and the joy which comes with it.
