I love how. The music teachers picture and profiles are for us to see. Very professional. You made it. Easy.
This Saturday was only my second lesson with David, but I can already tell that I am in for a very big positive and rewarding change in my voice and how I conduct myself when Im singing in front of a crowd. Been singing for a while now since high school, been singing for the past few years at our church, but never had a one-on-one vocal coach, always with a group with my music teachers in middle and high-schools. Wow! with just 2 lessons with David, I have heard and learned so much that I never even knew before. He was able to spot my weaknesses right away and shown me why I have difficulties singing some of the notes things that no one had ever explained to me, he just did. David knows his stuff whatever style of singing or type of songs you want to do, he can help you a great deal to improve or perfect your skills. He is super nice and made me feel so comfortable instantly from our very first meeting. If you are looking for an experienced, with so much expertise in this field, I highly recommend David.
I am seeing Daniel for about 6 months now and I have found his lessons to be very helpful, very patient and very direct when I'm not doing things properly. He has a very easy-going nature and is quick to pick up on things that you need to work on to improve your singing. While I am just an amateur singer, his other students seem to be professional grade. I highly recommend him
UpRock has excellent musicians and awesome music teachers! Everyone I've met there is thoughtful, caring, knowledgeable and patient. Both of my kids love lessons at UpRock and have been eagerly attending for almost a decade. They love going, not just to learn music, but for the fun, encouraging yet professional atmosphere. That's wonderful because they've both benefited in many ways, some we've only realized now that they're older and face bigger and more complicated challenges.
Dan is a consummate teacher: inspiring, supportive, upbeat, really knows his stuff--I have noticed a marked difference in my vocal ability after only a few lessons. He has pointed out and taught me things I've never heard or learned from any other vocal coach. I also love how optimistic and energetic I feel after lessons-all-in-all a great experience! Five stars plus!!
I have studied voice with several teachers, and I have had the best experience with Anne-Marie. She is an enthusiastic teacher. She makes me feel OK to make mistakes and flounder around, and still makes it fun. I look forward to my lessons.
David is a great teacher who isn't doing this for the money but to teach the art of music. He has stayed at my house twice as long as what I payed for and added no extra charge. He also gives a wide range of ways to relate his teachings. (IE. I take bass lessons but we commonly go to the piano to practice and drill) all in all David is a great teacher and highly recommended. Definite 5 stars.
Ms. de la Fuente is a wonderful piano teacher. She has been teaching my children for eight years. I highly recommend her.
She's great!! If you're looking for a music teacher, Krista is amazing.
Great piano teacher with wonderful patience!
I highly recommend Bob as a music teacher for beginners, folks who play for enjoyment and professional musicians. He enhances the student's experience by focusing on the music student wants to learn. At the same time he intertwines ear-training and music theory with technique. Bob is a great guitar and music teacher. He was my first guitar teacher. In later years mentored me on how to teach music.
I have been studying with Andrew for close to a year. I could strum chords and wanted to play lead, solo and learn more music theory. I have made huge progress, even my chords have improved and the lessons have rekindled my love of music. The group setting is relaxed, fun and synergistic. Andrew is a unique combination of great player committed to being a professional teacher. I highly recommend Andrew!
I took piano lessons with Hafdís for many years when I was growing up. She instilled the basics of reading notes, correct hand placement, and a love for music! Even though I am not a professional musician today, I can still read music and play a few concert pieces. She adapted well to my level and needs and encouraged me when I felt disappointed with my progress. At one point I switched from Classical to Jazz books in order to coincide with my interests. Her talent, creativity, and patience as a music teacher are unparalleled. I highly recommend Hafdís to anyone looking to learn piano for the first time, refresh skills, or train for something more.
Linda plays classical violin and fiddle and so she instructs for a combination of good form and fun. I am a beginner on the violin, having played the piano since childhood. With just a couple of violin lessons, Linda got me to bring forth strong musical tones, and hold myself and the instrument so I am relaxed. She is clear about what is important for me to learn, and positive about what I can do so far. I cannot recommend Linda enough as a violin teacher for adults or children. Susan H.
There are not enough wonderful things I could say about Shea. My daughter started taking guitar lesson with Shea when she was 9. We soon after added vocal lesson and now ukulele. She is 15 now and Shea has become more than a music teacher to her. She shares a love of music with her. She is kind patient and encouraging. Above that, she brings out the best in my girl!
Craig Jordan is very possibly the best guitar teacher I've ever had the pleasure of taking lessons from. One of the many things I enjoy about his lessons is that he always has a lesson prepared, with worksheets to go along with it. He tracks my progress, understands where my playing level is, and works with me at that level. Craig is a real teacher, not a wanna-be. If you are ready and willing to put some effort into learning how to play well, I highly recommend him. Hal S.
Sakurako is exactly the kind of teacher I was looking for. She is a performing and teaching professional who takes care that all facets of music are covered in her teaching. She has high standards yet is very encouraging to the student. I could not have found a better teacher!
Working with Mrs. Sydney has been amazing. I have learned things that I never even thought I could learn before. Mrs. Sydney has helped become more familiar and comfortable with my voice and singing in front of people. I have not only learned how to sing louder and more confidently, but I have also learned many new songs in different languages. I couldn’t ask for a better vocal teacher.
We were searching for a teacher who did not treat music as a business or "hustle." David is an excellent teacher who is passionate about music and cares deeply about his students. He is not watching the clock. He is more interested in the student learning the concept and stresses fundamentals. If the class runs over the allotted time, he continues and does not charge any more. Instead, his priority is the student learns. David knows theory and teaching fundamentals. My kids enjoyed their time with him and we highly recommend him as a teacher. We went to the piano academies and a few others and never found a satisfactory teacher. However, David was the best and my kids were much better for the experience.
Really like him after one lesson.
I switched from piano to flute lessons with Hafdís when I started playing the flute in Jr. High band. Her lessons enabled me to excel at an accelerated rate compared to my peers. I thoroughly enjoyed our lessons and found playing the flute fun and exciting. Hafdís is a talented musician, patient teacher, and inspiring person. I still remember how to play to this day even if I haven't picked up the instrument in a while. I attribute my love for music and ability to relate to my professional musician husband to her. I recommend Hafdís for anyone looking to start playing the flute, refresh on skills, or train for something bigger. She is well worth it!
