I love how. The music teachers picture and profiles are for us to see. Very professional. You made it. Easy.
I am seeing Daniel for about 6 months now and I have found his lessons to be very helpful, very patient and very direct when I'm not doing things properly. He has a very easy-going nature and is quick to pick up on things that you need to work on to improve your singing. While I am just an amateur singer, his other students seem to be professional grade. I highly recommend him
I've been taking lessons from Susan for more than a year now. It has been nothing less than a delight, privilege, and pleasure. Susan's professional expertise enables her to assist students on anything from communications, speech, narration, accents reduction, improv, comedy, acting, voice, and singing. Her rich and versatile experience gave her the ability to provide insightful feedback while suggesting the most relevant exercises on which to work. Susan's excellently put together recital allows students to build their confidence in a very fun and supporting environment. Susan is able to relate and work with students of all ages, be it kindergartners or professors. I highly recommend taking lessons from Susan; you'll look forward to your lessons week after week.
UpRock has excellent musicians and awesome music teachers! Everyone I've met there is thoughtful, caring, knowledgeable and patient. Both of my kids love lessons at UpRock and have been eagerly attending for almost a decade. They love going, not just to learn music, but for the fun, encouraging yet professional atmosphere. That's wonderful because they've both benefited in many ways, some we've only realized now that they're older and face bigger and more complicated challenges.
Dan is a consummate teacher: inspiring, supportive, upbeat, really knows his stuff--I have noticed a marked difference in my vocal ability after only a few lessons. He has pointed out and taught me things I've never heard or learned from any other vocal coach. I also love how optimistic and energetic I feel after lessons-all-in-all a great experience! Five stars plus!!
I have studied voice with several teachers, and I have had the best experience with Anne-Marie. She is an enthusiastic teacher. She makes me feel OK to make mistakes and flounder around, and still makes it fun. I look forward to my lessons.
Chris is very professional. I can tell that he is passionate for music and teaching. He is consistantly committed to helping musicians develop and I would recommend his expertise to anyone. Seriously, one of the greatest teachers I have had.
JJ is one of the finest musicians I know, and his ability to interact with people enhances his abilities to teach others music!
Stephen Dunne is a great musician and teacher. He not only taught me how to play any solo, but also trained me in music theory, jazz theory, sight reading, ear training, and impovsing. He is encouraging and supportive and even helped me record some songs of my own. Highly suggest him if you are looking into a music major or are wanting to expand your horizon in music.
I have only had an assessment and one lesson. But, I think she will work out just fine for me. She follows the California Music Teacher Association syllabus. So, I know what I need to accomplish before moving on to the next level. She is very professional. That's just what I need.
David is a great teacher who isn't doing this for the money but to teach the art of music. He has stayed at my house twice as long as what I payed for and added no extra charge. He also gives a wide range of ways to relate his teachings. (IE. I take bass lessons but we commonly go to the piano to practice and drill) all in all David is a great teacher and highly recommended. Definite 5 stars.
I have been playing guitar for around 20 years, mostly self taught. Over the years, I have tried out various lessons (online, multiple teachers, etc). Never have I experienced such an organized, thoughtful approach to learning your instrument than with Jason Bond. I've been with him for around 6 months. He can cater to your needs, but I prefer to follow his lead. It is like going to your own private music school (Jason is studying for his PhD in music). I am covering the basics of jazz and improving my theory, but also improving my blues/rock abilities. Jason will end your search for the ultimate guitar/music teacher! Also a great guy, thoughtful person, whom I now consider a good friend.
I highly recommend Bob as a music teacher for beginners, folks who play for enjoyment and professional musicians. He enhances the student's experience by focusing on the music student wants to learn. At the same time he intertwines ear-training and music theory with technique. Bob is a great guitar and music teacher. He was my first guitar teacher. In later years mentored me on how to teach music.
Great piano teacher with wonderful patience!
I would give Chris Goslow my highest recommendation for someone looking for a piano teacher. He has a passion for teaching and I love how he explains the rationale behind his methods. He is interested in what you might want to gain from learning piano and will tailor a lesson plan to accomplish your goal. He offers a variety of formats - one on one as well as group teaching. He enjoys a wide range of musical genres and has a firm grasp of musical theory, which I love. I had to interrupt my lessons temporarily but I look forward to resuming them with Chris when my schedule allows.
Sakurako is exactly the kind of teacher I was looking for. She is a performing and teaching professional who takes care that all facets of music are covered in her teaching. She has high standards yet is very encouraging to the student. I could not have found a better teacher!
We were searching for a teacher who did not treat music as a business or "hustle." David is an excellent teacher who is passionate about music and cares deeply about his students. He is not watching the clock. He is more interested in the student learning the concept and stresses fundamentals. If the class runs over the allotted time, he continues and does not charge any more. Instead, his priority is the student learns. David knows theory and teaching fundamentals. My kids enjoyed their time with him and we highly recommend him as a teacher. We went to the piano academies and a few others and never found a satisfactory teacher. However, David was the best and my kids were much better for the experience.
Taking voice lessons with Chris has been really helpful for me. I have a learned a lot and improved so much. He is the kind of teacher who will work you hard, which is something I really appreciate.
I've been taking lessons from Liz for over 7 years now. She knows what vocal exercises I need for developing particular skills such as placement and vowel pronunciation. Her constructive feedback is always given with ways to improve. Liz is happy to work with me on song selections that suit my voice and push me outside of my comfort zone, from classical to modern tunes. When Iâve seen Liz perform live, it reinforces the vocal techniques learned from her instruction. She has a singing ability that I can only hope to aspire to. If you've been thinking of taking voice lessons, I highly recommend Liz.
I'm a full time student and tutor in Solano Community College majoring in Mechanical Engineering. I have taught guitar lessons as well as tutored many people in Calculus, Statistics, various high school maths, and Chemistry.
