Usher Building did a fantastic job on our garage conversion project. The owner, Joel, is very knowledgeable, skilled, and professional and does very high quality work. His price was competitive, and he was very honest and trustworthy to deal with. Most importantly, he followed through and really exceeded our expectations. This was a full garage conversion that involved new rafters, framing of closets, relocating plumbing, new windows, expanded doorway, electrical, insulation, drywall, laminate floors, molding, closet doors, shelving in the closets, etc. We were thrilled with the results and we couldn’t recommend this contractor more highly.
I was remodeling my kitchen and needed help installing and plumbing my kitchen sink. Michael was very helpful even before he came out to do the work. He walked me through what needed to be done before he arrived and what I needed when he got there. He was prompt, polite and the service and install was outstanding!! Not only would I recommend him for service I plan to use him for all my future plumbing needs!!
Closet shelves and baseboard install. Great job. Hired to come back to texture the ceiling.
All the work I needed is now done and I couldn't be more thrilled with how it all turned out. Just some comments about Andrew... His patience was SO appreciated, especially when I didn't like the first color on the walls. His perseverance to get the job done the way I wanted even when things were challenging (the paint color, the outside security lights, the ceiling fan and my sliding door). He was very personable and kind as well. He is such a hard worker, easy to communicate and enjoyable to work with! He was also very professional and respectful. Since I am single and some of the work was being done in my bedroom, I always felt safe! That was huge for me! It can be a little unnerving to have a male stranger come into your home and spend several hours. But with Andrew, there were no worries at all and I have told my friends about him. Thank you so much! I will keep him in mind for next time, most certainly! He is a keeper. Now that everything is put back, clean and organized. It looks wonderful and I couldn't be more happy with the end result!
John and his team have installed or repaired sprinklers in two locations and have done a great job both times
Jeff installed 4 ceiling fans and did an excellent job. He scheduled quickly, was professional, and reasonable. I highly recommend him.
Sam - fixed a ceiling hole, and a storm damaged solid gate and fence. Stayed into the night to get it all finished perfectly. Great guy.
Put a request in for quotes on my roof. Hey responded with in 45 minutes with a phone call. Showed up at my house 30 minutes later gave me a rough estimate. Told him get the ball rolling on the job. 2 days later gave me a full estimate maybe $100 more from the rough estimate. 3 days later he had is crew fixing my roof. Done the same day. Very happy!
Nick installed a couple of windows for me, took out a corner, modular shower, installed a new shower pan, tiled the walls and floor, and installed shower doors. The work was done beautifully. Nick and his team are very easy to work with and they are professional. LOVE the work he did for me. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
I would recommend this company to anyone in need of work done on their home. I had a terrible problem with fungi inside and outside of my home. There was dry rot on the siding and trim, the plywood roof sheathing on the patio cover, the support beams suffered from fungi damage, a lot of my wood sash windows were affected by the fungi as well. Spectrum One sent their crew out right away. Not only did they remove and replace all of the damaged wood, they also fixed my leaking faucet and toilet. Thank you!!
KGA construction installed a kitchen for us. And did a really good job
The project involved converting the lowest level of a tri-level home to a separate living quarters for my daughter. The bedroom, bathroom and utility room were left intact. The primary effort consisted of: closing off the open space between the main kitchen eating area and the large family room; providing a separate entrance to the family room; replacing an 8 foot window with a sliding door, landing, and steps from the eating nook; removing a wet bar, and adding a kitchenette in the family room. The kitchenette required installing: cabinets; appliances; electrical and plumbing; lighting fixtures; quartz counters; tile flooring. George Smith, owner of BMT Builders, was an integral partner of the design process, which included the home owners and a Kitchen Design specialist. George's expert experience in this process resulted in many practical improvements to the design and physical layout of the kitchen. He provided the detailed plans for the permit, and advocated for the home owners interests with the county personnel- which was critical in obtaining approval of the project. The care and dedication to the job which George and his assistants provided were commendable, they worked exclusively on this project until it was completed. The craftsmanship of the finished product adequately reflected George's perfectionist nature. His integrity was above reproach; his word was as good as gold in all aspects of this project. There were many unforeseen obstacles encountered during the project; George always provided the owner with a menu of options, explanation of the choices, and any cost ramifications. He included any suggestions offered by the owner in his recommended solution. His suggested approach was both pragmatic and artistic; but, always focused on getting the effort done the correct way- never cutting corners. As with any project of this complexity, some surprises arose; the most significant one involving relatively new code issues, which were not included in the initial plans. The electrical wiring for the new appliances and kitchen outlets originally were planned using the existing 200 amp panel. At the initial site inspection, the county agent informed us of additional code requirements that would necessitate installing a new main panel and running new electrical circuits from this panel to the new kitchenette. This change in approach had a modest impact on the schedule and cost of the project. In retrospect, this could have been mitigated by more detailed review during the permit process.
The first project Peter completed for me was a fence and gate in a tight corner between my house and garage. The finished result was flawless! Not only did it add to the appearance of the house, but it was also perfectly functional (in spite of the tricky angle). The expertise and attention to detail Peter showed on this first job was indicative of how he does ALL of his work. I have asked him to do many other projects since then -- everything from flooring installations to building custom shelving -- and all of them have turned out beautifully! I trust Peter to do any and all construction/finish work in my home.
Nathan Sweetin was wonderful to work with. He was prompt, and if running late he always let us know. He did an excellent job raising the ceiling in our entryway and hallway -- having to handle electrical, duct work, drywall, etc. He also took on several other small jobs. Nathan was friendly, professional and provided quality work. We would highly recommend him for big or small jobs.
customer service is very important to us. quality work and affordable pricing.
