FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I keep up on my reading which includes makeup magazines and books. I keep up with my favorite makeup brands to see what new and or improved products they're coming out with.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been artistic, playing around with different mediums. When I was younger I always found myself intricately looking at the makeup in magazines and movies so I started to recreate them on myself and on my friends and family. I started to get a lot of positive feedback so ultimately I decided to get professionally trained and do it as a career!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Seek professionals. Anybody can be a makeup artist but a lot of knowledge and practice goes into being a serious and professional one :) Also demos and consultations make it easier for the client as well as the makeup artist to be on the same page and know what to expect the day of. So if you can squeeze one in beforehand it will make a big difference.
