Enjoyed working with Albert and Angela. They are courteous and professional and did an excellent job creating our video. I really appreciated the artistic touches they added when the original video was edited.
(SPANISH BELOW) I want to highly recommend Nabor for your next photography project. I was contacted by my book editor asking for a head sot for my next novel. I live in Petaluma, CA and after looking at the rates of local photographers I tried this website. I obtained several bids and since I know very little about photography I asked my son for his opinion (he does photography for fun). After looking at the work of the people who sent bids he advised me that Nabor's work was the best "hands down". I negotiated with Nabor and he traveled to Petaluma to take the photos. We met early in the morning and when I got there he was already waiting for me. I was immediately impressed with his professional demeanor and flexibility. We walked around town and he knew exactly where the right background was. I knew then I was working with an artist. The love for his work is apparent in the photos he took. He got it right from the third photo but went on to take 191 photos!!!. The difficult part for me has been having to decide on just one photo. Nabor is definitely the best photographer I have ever worked with. There is something else beautiful about Nabor and that is that his first language is Spanish which is also my first language. It was truly a pleasurable experience to collaborate with someone passionate about his work. His photo will be a blessing to my novel. Thank you Nabor. Gracias Nabor.
First and foremost, I love what I do. I feel privileged to be able to make art every day and to share it with my clients. I'm a licensed wedding and travel photographer working with various magazines. Recently awarded from Thumbtack and the Bay Area community the Top 10, Best of 2015 Freelance Photographers Award at slot #2. My style of photography is journalistic for weddings, I shoot in a very natural way and also shoot traditional wedding photos. I find that it's best to let people be themselves -- laughing, giggling and enjoying each other. Those "candid" shots end up being the best ones because they catch the essence of what was really happening at that very moment. That is the body of my photo work you are looking at, that is how I made those shots look that particular way. I always give a mix of traditional posed and candid photos back. When I'm not shooting weddings or landscapes for magazines, you will also find me available for corporate events, commercial, food photography, products, couple portraits, band portraits and anything else you can think of that requires photography. I will travel anywhere and love to meet new people. With that said, I have had numerous clients fly me out to other states for their weddings. I'm in California, and you are in New York? Of course, I can work for you. It would be an honor. I give a mix of wedding photos in return -- meaning, black and white and color. It all depends on what works with the lighting in photography. If you prefer no black-and-white photos, then please let me know before everything is set in stone -- meaning, "before the engagement shoot, before your wedding, when we first talk planning, before everything." Remember, it is your day; I'm there to capture "your day" and satisfy your needs. Let me tell your story through my lens. Rates: please contact me. Every event slightly differs from one another (All rates include travel costs, editing and CD or e-mailed high-res photos.). FILM: I am also offering film packages alongside my digital work. Not a fan of those fake orange/yellow software filters? And need a photographer that shoots digital and film naturally? Without the fake over-brushed Photoshop look? Contact me. My one piece of advice: do not hire someone because the "rate is cheaper." It's your wedding, your one day -- your most special day. Hire someone based on the quality of the work/art. Be sure to look at my official website at the link below. "The best teacher is experience and not through someone's distorted point of view!" -- Jack Kerouac My latest work can be found in Brides Magazine, National Geographic Kids Magazine, Lonely Planet Traveler UK Magazine, Turkish Airlines (Skylife Magazine) and N-Photo Nikon Deutschland Magazine. On the Pixoto Photo website, I was awarded/ranked the #14 wedding photographer of 2014 out of thousands of photographers from around the world.
Thank you Cindy for fantastic wedding photos! My favorite part about working with Cindy is that she is professional. For me, this means several things: she was always timely with email responses throughout the process, she was prompt and ready on the day of, and her turn around time for the photos was super short! But the ultimate reason that Cindy is an amazing professional is that she is invisible! I have heard plenty of horror stories of photographers that drag the bride and groom away from the fun and make the occasion all about the pictures. Cindy was great at taking very little of our time to do couples shots. We were able to be completely present in the moment at all our events and Cindy captured them without us even knowing she was there. We have some excellent candids of friends and family as well as posed shots of the two of us. She stayed close at the beginning of the reception so that I could ask her for specific shots but she also wandered around and got a great picture of almost all 150 people at the event :) We are very happy with the pictures and the experience!
She is really awesome... We had our maternity session now and She made d shoot very friendly and we Ve got many beautiful shots... She made our experience a memorable one... Can't wait to ve our new born session... She s very adjustable with timing... Very reasonable as compared to other photographers... Would definitely use her again and recommend her...
Doug and Melinda went above and beyond for my wedding. It rained on my wedding day but that didn't stop our photographers from taking beautiful rain shots, it actually added to the magic! We originally wanted photos at the Palace of Fine Arts but that wouldn't have worked out with the rain, so we came up with a plan B after the wedding ceremony and Doug was flexible with the sudden change. Later that day, my mother and my aunt could not figure out how to pin my bustle, Melinda stepped in like a pro and saved the day! Not only are they great photographers but they really helped us keep the flow of the wedding. We saw a preview of our wedding photo gallery and it was beautiful, we cannot wait to see all of the photos and create our album. We especially loved the candid shots during the wedding ceremony as well as the rain shots.
I highly recommend Patrick Power! I needed a professional portrait for a legal job application, and I hadn't had one taken in over 20 years. I wanted it to be professional, but also unique. I wasn't sure how to find a photographer, so I just put out a bid on thumbtack. Patrick responded very quickly and with a very reasonable price. I had resigned myself to just getting a studio portrait with a neutral background, but Patrick had the idea of meeting at City Hall to take the photo. I was very nervous and self-conscious about the process. I don't like having my picture taken and I am not very photogenic. It helped that City Hall was full of other photographers taking pictures of brides, grooms, and other people like me, so I didn't really stand out. I had a problem and ended up being pretty late to our meeting, but Patrick was very nice about it. I was sweating like crazy in my suit, but he did a good job of putting me at ease and letting me rest and cool down for a little bit white while he staked out spots to take the photo. He talked with me casually about what I was looking for in the photo, but we also made small talk about our lives and work, so that soon I felt very comfortable with him. As a result, I looked very natural in the photo. Patrick took a lot of shots, and several of them were quite good. I needed the work done on very short notice, including a print. I made the bid on a Sunday, we did the photo shoot on Monday, and I had the print by Tuesday morning. I love the photo, and my family and friends do too. Everyone agreed that not just my appearance, but also my personality comes through in the photo. I will definitely call Patrick again if I need another photo taken in the future!
Steve had a relaxed presence that put me at ease when arriving to the studio. The studio was small, but was the equipment was very nice. I utilized his services to get acting headshots, and before beginning to take the pictures, he had a handy book that visually showed how good and bad headshots look. He effectively guided me through various poses, and I had a lot of fun the whole time! Oh, and the photos looked fantastic in the end. Overall, what you'll get from working with Steve is a kind and talented photographer who'll make sure you're getting the bang for your buck.
I hired Sumit to take head shots of our physicians and executive team through Thumbtack. I interviewed five different photographers and decided on Sumit after viewing his outstanding portfolio. He showed up right on time and brought all of his equipment to our office to set up a mobile studio. The whole process was much easier than I imagined. Sumit makes people feel comfortable and that shows in the photos. We are very pleased with the results. He is a true professional and I highly recommend him.
Rick captured our family fabulously! He was patient with a family of 10 and some little ones, got everyone to smile all at the same time. Rick is also very creative, and had great ideas for how we could frame the shots outdoors. Really well done!
Erika is a wedding and portrait photographer in San Francisco Bay area. When Erika is your wedding photographer, you feel at ease and relax, even the moment you slip into your beautiful dress. She was once a bride, so she can relate and relieve some of the feelings you will be experiencing, such as anxiety, overwhelming and perfectionism. Erika focuses on emotion, connection and moments among the couple, the parents, and all the loved ones. She is always listening, thinking and anticipating for those moments of the day as they unfold naturally. She stands by to freeze them into beautiful memories as they happen. She loves when the couple forgets about the presence of the photographer, when they are in the moment of their day and focus on the love for each other. She then works her ways to find flattering angel and right light. While Erika does give directions from time to time, especially during the wedding portraits, her mere goal is to ignite that special seconds from the couple when love, light, and something unexpectedly beautiful all meets spontaneously. When art meets the emotions, Erika achieves her mission, and she is happily every after. Erika strives to create wedding photographs that stand the test of time and generations. They are truthful in both color and emotion. They stand alone as works of art while also telling an honest, full-of-life story you remember when viewed collectively. Her wedding work evoke an effortless and romantic feeling along with a kick of something unique, either by incorporating an embracing composition or a touch of special light. Each image you will be looking at is finely crafted from start to finish by her, who was there, witnessed every frame. Each wedding happens in a type of environment that's unique to the couple, therefore, your images are toned for color, depth and white balance that's true to the day and the way you remember. Erika further give your chosen favorites extra touches for enlargements, books and albums.
