It may sound odd, but I want all of my treats to taste good. I want my Lemon Pound Cake to actually taste like lemon! I find that so many desserts are focused on the sweetness rather than the flavor, and it makes me sad. My desserts aren't super sweet, but they are full of flavor. My breads have a great texture as well as flavor. My fudge is sweet without being overpoweringly sweet - my Orange Fudge actually takes like orange!
The two things I love about my work is, one - I get to play with ingredients, flavors, textures to create delicious treats, and two - I love hearing from satisfied customers. When I worked in a restaurant, I could see when empty dessert plates came back to the kitchen; now that I have a shop and do orders, I love seeing repeat customers come back to the shop or when I get emails or Facebook posts from happy customers - so glad to put a smile on someone's face!See more
