I had let my home go way too long and as such became embarrassed about having anybody come in and clean. When I put out feelers for a housecleaner Michael was the first to respond and even after sending him photos of what my home had become he still consented to clean, all the while assuring me that it will be okay and that I'm not the only person to get myself in the situation I had fallen into. As you can see from the my bathroom and kitchen photos Michael has posted it was quite a huge job. He spent one hole day in the bathroom scrubbing and scraping the tiles cleaning the sink, tub and bowl and washing the windows and mirrors (You can see how my bathroom shines in the after photo). Than he came back for another 1/4 day to attack the kitchen ( you can see the results as well). I recommend Michael very highly for his devotion to the job, understanding of your needs and excellent quality of his work.
Jasper was on time, responsive, and did an incredibly high quality paint job on our cabinets and even helped us install new handles, knobs, and hinges in a short amount of time. Our kitchen and bathrooms now have a great new 21st century look (updated from its original 80's look and feel). The quote we were given was extremely fair. For the overall experience of this job - the only word that can be used here is indeed 'outstanding'.
I had a very loud, annoying, and squeaky bathroom floor. Just bought new floors and needed a repair right away so that we could install the new floor. Tom called us back while he was still on vacation and came our right away. Gave me a great price and did a great job! He has a great attitude, honest personality, and we will use him again.
Richard Hynes is a very detailed professional. Upon meeting Richard I felt comfortable about the project. We originally wanted to order materials for the project and he had suggested to me that he would order any materials and provide us with the receipts. Luckily we let him order the material as it turns out the ones we wanted to order were undersized for our project. Richard came and seismically retrofitted our home. He also helped us on our kitchen and bathroom remodels while managing the project the whole way, hiring subs, coordinating between myself and subcontractors and achieving the results desired. Richards pricing was 20% cheaper compared to licensed professionals in the area. We are so glad to have had his help, as the previous worker we hired from thumbtack turned out to be unlicensed at a cheaper price, but ended up costing us a lot more money in the long run.
Nicki has been the designer for 2 of our home remodel projects. For our kitchen/dining room/living room she created an open contemporary multi-purpose fabulous space that we love every day! She coordinated with the contractor on all work. For our master bathroom/bedroom and den/2nd bath--again she executed great use of space, color, and design. We loved that she got what our personal tastes and design style was. She created original designs, including custom cabinetry and tile work.
I had two other designers over to help select the right wall color for bedrooms that have two different colored burl veneer furniture that I designed and had made. I've been performing house and furniture design for over thirty-five years and no one, including myself, had a clue as to the perfect room color. Rachel hit the colors right on the mark for the perfect contrast. The rooms are exquisite. Rachel has an amazing talent for knowing what works. I have referred her to my friends who also think she is impressively talented.
Regina and team were fantastic consultants on helping me figure out what I wanted/needed to do with a tile project in my bathroom. We ultimately decided to postpone the project, but their on-site consult and email communications were exceptional. I'll definitely hire them for the actual construction once we're ready.
Maria provided excellent design for my bathroom, and personally shopped with me to pick out top quality materials. She also provided an excellent design for my future kitchen re-model. I would highly recommend Maria Billingsley from Studio MB for any interior design project you have.
I live in a 1BR rent-controlled apartment which I love, but which (tbh!) needed a little love after 5 years of our pretty mundane decor decision-making and everything looking a little down at the seams. I wanted to spruce things up without breaking the bank (and with no painting or structural changes allowed, of course) so that continuing to live there felt like a joy rather than "same old same old". Kunjan came over to my place and did a needs assessment in every room. Then she built out some awesome Pinterest boards that suggested themes or directions or even specific items she liked for what I needed. Finally, we went shopping together a couple of times, taking pictures, discussing budget, and making decisions together along the way. Voilà: new light fixtures, new upholstery, new rug, new styling ideas (cushions!), less clutter in the bathroom and kitchen, new colour combinations... I never felt pressured into a decision or purchase and Kunjan respected my budget completely. This no doubt sounds clichéd but I feel happier coming home every day and when entertaining. Kunjan provided just the facelift my apartment needed!
I moved into a tiny apartment in SF without a single piece of furniture. I enlisted Angela's help to make the most out of my small space and was so pleased with the process and the results. She acted quickly by scheduling a call, stopping by my apartment to take measurements and following up with a layout and project scope. We then, worked together to decide on a vision of the space. She sourced pieces, ordered them or in some cases, went to the store to pick them up. She was very hands-on and helpful. Decorating an apartment from scratch can be stressful but Angela remained positive and believed in our vision, which allowed me to do the same. Now my apartment is complete and it feels better than I could have imagined. From a design perspective, it is beautiful but it is also comfortable and functional. I am stoked. The final thing I'd like to share is that working with Angela was actually way more affordable than I thought it could be - she found great deals on furnishing and often received additional designer discounts. Working with her was way easier than doing it alone, the design surpassed what I would have been able to achieve and it turned out to be so affordable. Thanks, Angela!
Couldn't have found a more wonderful and responsive designer. Sahar has done a good job meeting our needs. Our project is coming along beautifully.
We hired MJH Construction Management to complete renovations of our recently purchased home. With a wealth of knowledge and experience, MJH determined the best solutions to a number of complex repairs and additions including floor leveling, heating, plumbing and electric. MJH helped us choose several improvements like changing the floor plan for better use of space, installing a gas fireplace as well as a bathroom and kitchen upgrade. MJH oversaw the contractors to ensure the work was completed and billed correctly. Throughout the process MJH kept us apprised of the costs and schedule - there were no surprises. We are delighted with the results - our renovated house came out fantastic.
Mahya is a talented designer. Her design for my small and worn out 1970s kitchen is not only lovely, it also exponentially improves functionality. Additionally, Mahya writes well, something that matters to me. It is a pleasure working with her.
Devin has undertaken a number of projects for me over the past few years, ranging from quite small (realigning cabinet doors) to significant (bathroom remodel, new backyard fence, custom barn door). In each and every case, he has been reliable, courteous, pleasant to deal with, and conscientious about both the quality of his work and minimizing disruption to our household during construction. His work is top notch and he asks questions along the way to make sure that the finished product meets our expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend Devin.
I hired Dane to design a bathroom addition to my condo. Throughout the entire process he was professional, easy to get in touch with, and very accommodating. His role been instrumental to this project. Not only were his plans beautiful and creative, but he was always willing to adjust my plans as needed when I thought of new ideas to consider. I highly recommend BuntonMousavi and would be happy to speak with anyone on the phone if you want to know more about my experience!
Wow! Wow! Wow! Normally interior design comes pretty easy for me...until I had a space I couldn't figure out nor deal with. I contacted Forsyth Home Design and Matt came to the rescue. From the first consult to the finished project he was there. Dealing with contractors, color choices, fabrics, and coming up with built in design options. I highly recommend them for ANY interior project that you might have. Thanks Matt!
Very appreciative to Phelan for the color consultation on our condominium's common space refurb (interior and exterior paint & carpet). Can't begin to express how helpful his direction was to achieving consensus across the ownership group. THANKS PHELAN!
Carolyn re-designed our entire house, including almost every bedroom, the kitchen, living room, gym, and bathrooms. She has amazing taste and I couldn't be happier with the results.
Jason is a star. He brought an eclectic mix of high end, yet homey and logical taste to our office design project. He really went above and beyond what a designer should do, managing budgets, liaising with GC, subs, and custom furniture makers, putting together the knock-off conference room chairs he found us, and even buying plants for the office when we were all moved in! Whatever the budget and timeline, he just made it work!
OpenBay Design worked with our community nonprofit organization to design a empty storefront space and transform it into gallery. As the storefront was a former tofu store, it had a lot of plumbing and odd fixtures that we thought were challenges to the space. However, they designed a functional and creative space to fit our needs ---to welcome visitors, and serves the dual function of a meeting space/gallery public space. OpenBay researched the furniture, lighting and was able to work very well with the contractor and with our budget. OpenBay has a keen, creative eye and listened to our concerns about how we would utilize the space, and followed through to get the project completed. We are extremely satisfied with the outcome, the process, and would highly recommend OpenBay Designs for future projects.
Great person, great service!
