Hello Daniel, I am sorry to hear this now, almost a month after your service! When we discussed Brisket's grooming I told you that a basic grooming in your home would include a bath, ear cleaning, & blow dry with complimentary massage, aromatherapy, & sound bath for an estimated $88. When you stated that you weren't sure if Brisket needed his nails trimmed at the time of the grooming request I told you I would check them & trim them as needed. We discussed the shampoo to be used would be your own & I informed you that I take Cash, Check, Venmo, & PayPal. You agreed to schedule an appointment with this information. During our discussion you did not tell me that you'd never given Brisket a bath before & that he was an extremely anxious nervous temperament. In fact you described him as an "amazingly well behaved, mellow boy". Brisket was very uncomfortable for the entirety of his bath as you are aware given that you remained present during the full process & I explained to you during the bath that this process is proving to be quite stressful for him. When you informed me that he had never before had his nails trimmed I explained that doing so after the bath would be too stressful & you agreed. The process of getting him into the tub alone took 20 minutes, the bath and blow dry took almost three times as long as a typical grooming session as I took every care and precaution to not stress Brisket further. During this process I gave you extensive & high value Training Guidance to help you & Brisket with conditioning him for future bathing & nail trims, as I felt extremely bad for him & you had expressed to me that you were not aware of how to bathe him, let alone help ease him into a home life with your family. I gave you Training Guidance free of charge, but please know that the time I spent coaching you would have been a service that I charge $77-$95 for. When adopting a dog that has socialization & anxiety issues it is at times more costly as you really do have to work to cater to their specific needs. You know this as you mentioned that Brisket refuses to walk into buildings, which is why you had to request for a mobile groomer to come to your home. Come to find out at the time of service that you desired for me to TEACH you how to bathe Brisket, as you had no idea how to do so & were not comfortable doing so yourself. I gladly did so free of charge however, because it was in his best interest. Again, this would have been charged as a training session had I been informed of the nature of the service prior. As for the change, I did let you know that I take Venmo & PayPal as payment, you assured me it was fine because I did such a good job with grooming Brisket & helping him remain calm.. I am very sorry to hear now that you are displeased with the service that you received & I hope that you are able to find a groomer to better suit your needs in the future.
