The patience, experience and professionalism Greg Korn demonstrated, enabled me to accomplish the goal to successfully build out my building. Guiding me through the maze of city bureaucracy and the confusing demands to gain a building permit, was invaluable. His ability to dissect the tedious and complex circumstances is an incredible qualification he calmly utilized. Gathering additional architects and contractors expressed his willingness and ability to work with others to acquire the best results for me. Because of his suggestions and adjustments along the way, I could provide the detailed plans the city was looking for as they passed the plan check.
There are no grey areas with Paul that delivers what he says impeccably on a precise schedule.
Reza is outstanding in every way!! He took over a project from another Architect for us who couldn't provide the City of Santa Monica what they needed to issue a permit for many months, so we were stuck. Reza was quick efficient and worked through the issues diligently, so that we received the permit within a few weeks after we hired him. Reza is very professional, and we will ask him to work with us on all future projects in California. We will recommend Reza to all our friends and business associates. Reza provides very good and very fair value, he is very honest and efficient. We are thrilled to have found him on Thumbtack!!
Mr. Roi Lapeyre firm has been providing our restaurant with top quality design ideas, he has creatively redesigned, after the remodeling my business increase 10%. I would strongly recommend mr. Roi Lapeyre for any construction project.
Diane has done a whole home remodel for my family in the early 1990s and a 1000 sq. foot separate building on a different property in about 2012. She is a good listener when it comes to understanding the clients needs. Her understanding of how a space will be used is clearly reflected in her modern designs. She has a tremendous attention to modern detail, and supervised the construction to ensure compliance with her design. I was very pleased with the finished results on both projects and enjoy living in these spaces. She has excellent skills on state of the art architectural CAD software that allows her to create very detailed plans and specifications. This is critical during both the bid and construction phases. She has a depth of knowledge regarding building materials and finishes that help to create a coherent aesthetic design. She is LEED certified and sustainable development is clearly part of her philosophy, Her services include construction observation as part of the fee and it is well worth it. She is on site making sure the construction is per specification and correctly detailed. I can't emphasize how important that is. She is a true professional and a joy to work with. I recommend her without hesitation.
Very good landscape Architect and contractor
Great Response. Alan is a very likeable individual, well informed and understands the overall goal. We plan on teaming with Alan to be our "Architect of Choice" for other projects on our radar. Walt Vickers - General Contractor
I create residential and commercial design services from schematic design to bidding and construction administration.
We take architecture as a psychological issue - the piece of land, an edifice or a structure as being utilized the same way it should create certain emotions to the viewer, mentally connecting it with the state of sculptural expression. Our design work is based on extensive brainstorming, where depending on the type of client, category building, materials chosen, landscaping, and urban attitude a particular process methodology is implemented. Each project is approached with its own specificity, uniqueness, and the process of designing is the one which brings to it its own architectural handwriting. In the Studio 3D, different computer software allow exploring in very depth each detail and not a little corner is left without being carefully studied. We thoroughly believe also in the sustainable design philosophy that this is the future where architecture goes, and we stay firmly behind it. The sustainable architectural design has to go hand by hand with renewable energy, and give a better future for the next generation. The project budgeting and value analysis are looked under scrutiny to be able to lower the cost as much as possible, without compromising the quality of the design in both highly-competitive private and cost conscious government sectors. Working tightly with cost estimators and surveyors, the office takes it with main responsibility that the project is executed precisely, within the budget, and in the time frame.
After the first meeting and explaining to the architect what I wanted with a simple, yet functional patio cover, he took the concept and presented the plans, ready to have the city's approval. It is very nice to work with people that show skin the game.

I eagerly, urgently recommend Martin Roy Mervel as your architect. He has the right combination of talent, taste, and persistence to help you build the house of your dreams. My wife and I are the proud owners of a 1935 Spanish revival home. We love it dearly -- its character, its charm, its "soul". In fact we love everything about it...except for the fact that it has only two bedrooms and one bathroom. Not the ideal arrangement for a growing family! We knew that we needed to add a new bedroom and a new bathroom, but we had no idea where to start. The house added a particular challenge, in that it sits on a long, narrow lot. We are so grateful that we found Martin, because this challenge did not phase him in the slightest. He spent countless hours studying every detail of the house, learning its nature, its "energy". Learning what made it special to us. He even climbed into the attic to get a better understanding of how the roof was constructed. It was like watching a surgeon at work! Thanks to this meticulous attention to detail, Martin was able to provide a number of amazing options, opening our eyes to the design opportunities contained within our walls. He embraced the nature of our long and skinny house, and he found possibilities for hallways and closets and vestibules in areas that we had never even considered. After a number of design proposals, we settled on our favorite. But Martin was not done yet...he continued to work tirelessly on the project, proposing aesthetic details such as wall sconces and tile layouts. He was also there every step of the way during the City of Glendale's design review and approval process. The city paid him perhaps the greatest compliment of all, when they approved his blueprints without a single change. Our city planner told us that such a complete success on the first pass is unheard of! Now, with the end of our project in sight, my wife and I love our "new" three bedroom, two bath home. It still has all the charm that made us fall in love with it in the first place, but it now has all the extra space that it once lacked. And most importantly: I DEFY ANYONE TO POINT OUT WHERE THE OLD HOUSE ENDED AND THE NEW CONSTRUCTION BEGINS! The new rooms are so well integrated into the language of the house, it seems like they belonged there all along. We could not be happier about our project. And we owe it all to Martin.
