I cannot say enough about Thinque Prep and Joyee Lin. He is dedicated to his students success and does a very thorough job of preparing them for the ACT or SAT test. My son, Zack, who is very bright but requires a lot of patience worked with Joyee over the summer and brought his composite ACT score up from 30 to 33. His math score increased a full 4 pts. and he scored a 35 in English. Thinque Prep has other services related to tutoring and college application preparation. Zack will be working with Joyee on his college application essays. Joyee is in California and we are in Texas but this was never an issue as the sessions are done via video chat. The office manager Jen was great to work with and the appointment process was easy to navigate. I found the rates to be very competitive for like services. If there was a way to give extra stars I would!!

Jeff helped us out with SAT prep. He was always on time - literally on the dot. His service is top notch. We were looking for a competitive program and have been burned by Compass. Jeff is a professional and got the job done. From beginning to end, a 350 point rise in score.

Mr. Vialardi is a very patient teacher and very knowledgeable. Before we hired him, we hired one of the teachers but my son detected right away that the one we got does mot know much about the subject. Then We hired Mr. Vialardi. My son is a very quiet person and takes time before anyone can make him open up. After a couple of 2 hour sessions with Mr. Vialardi, my son shows sign that he likes him and that he knows a lot. He also like the patience and softness of his voice when he is explaining the steps and doing analyses. At first my son was very skeptical about tutoring but Mr. Vialardi has his way of getting into him and making my son comfortable. Being under his tutoring, he was able to pass his AP Calculus test and all his AP Calculus subjects will be credited to the university he will enrolling this summer. We are rehiring Mr. Vialardi because we wanted my son to have a solid foundation in Math when he enters college this summer. Mr. Vialardi is a great asset to your organization because his main goal is to help every student excel in their studies that would prepare them in their future careers. Joseph & Suzanne Dee

We hired Matthew to prep our daughter for the ACT test. Her mock test score was 28. We hired Matthew just for a few hours before her real ACT test. I got the results today. Her score is 33! We are very happy.

I worked with Cyrus for about two months to prep for the SAT at UCLA. Awesome experience, my math skills (in context of what was needed for the SAT) improved greatly, and I can't wait to see how well my scores dictate that improvement!

Robert came to us highly recommended for private school testing prep. After discussing with him the pros/cons of private schools, we decided to keep our daughter in public school and supplement her education with private lessons in writing with Robert. He's smart, passionate about teaching, and a good person. We couldn't be happier with him.

There are a ton of GMAT prep places out there, so it's hard to sort through all the options. I took a course with Princeton Review about six months ago because my friend recommended it. It was a good course, but I needed some more personal attention and frankly, a kick in the pants before I felt ready to go in and take the real thing. I don't know how long Vivian's been teaching, but she's a total pro. She was great at helping me figure out what to study on my own, so I felt her guidance even when we weren't face to face. She came up with simple ways of approaching the test, and she really knew her stuff -- I came in already solid on the basics, and so we focused mainly on 700+ level math questions. She was also super flexible with scheduling, which I really needed (I work at a bar, so my shifts are constantly changing). I just took the GMAT last Tuesday -- 720! The best I'd ever done on a Princeton Review practice test was 650. Vivian's worth every penny!

I started working with Stable Genius Prep in January to prepare for the General GRE. We assessed right away that the Quantitative material was my weak spot, and where I'd need the most help. I'm the type of person who really has to be able to understand something before I can master it, and I don't naturally think mathematically. In other words I can't just memorize formulae and when to apply them. Andrew was excellent with this. Even when I got answers right, he would make sure to go over with me what the principles were behind the problem. He has clearly had much experience tutoring pupils. Perhaps what had the most impact on me, and on my desire to work hard, was the patience he exhibited; it may have not even registered with him, but I noticed it. In the beginning I worked at an excruciatingly slow pace through everything from Arithmetic to Statistics and Probability. It took two hours just to get through ten problems. By the end of our prep, I was able to work through the same number of questions in about 15-20 minutes, and at a high level of difficulty. While my essay writing is normally solid, it was difficult to exhibit that within the 30 minute time limit. Andrew reviewed my practice essays with me and really helped me to develop strategies to write strong essays that follow the test instructions within the time allotted. Ultimately my Math score went from the 48th percentile up to the 83rd percentile! I couldn't be happier with my experience, and with the results we were able to get. I say "we" because by the end I felt like we were a team, with Andrew as my coach. He is a master of the material, and he understands how to teach it effectively. I definitely recommend Stable Genius Prep to anyone looking not only to get over a certain threshold, but to really maximize their potential and do as well as they possibly can!

My son who is a high school senior needed someone to review his personal statement for his UC college applications. I requested a writing tutor and Victor Solis of Initia Test Prep responded within the hour! I reviewed his profile and his website and it seemed good. I was impressed of how Victor reviewed my son's essays in a short amount of time and gave important recommendations. He also answered any questions that I had about UC schools, admissions, etc. I highly recommend Victor Solis and Initia Test Prep.

About

I AM A MEDICAL SCHOOL STUDENT at UCLA. I AM A PROFESSIONAL TUTOR AND HAVE TUTORING EXPERIENCE with a tutoring company for more than 7 YEARS and I have tutored over 300 students with great results. I have tutored with Sylvan and Tutorsource previously. My approach centers around the core principle that every student has unique abilities and individual learning styles. Some recent students have gone from failing to getting A's on tests in as little as two sessions. I constantly analyze what a student does and doesn't understand, using my mastery of the material to devise problems that facilitate understanding in week areas.

Why struggle? Homework, papers, projects and test preparation go better and faster when you do them the easy way. I'm a graduate of Caltech and UCLA with many years of experience. My successful students, many of whom had been doing poorly in school, learned how to be organized and to enjoy their work, have gone on to success at the best Universities. Some have attained advanced degrees and are successful doctors and lawyers.

About

I'm an MBA graduate of the UCLA Anderson School of Management (class of 2009). I have three years of GMAT teaching experience with a major test prep company, and have taught GMAT classes at the University of San Diego and Alliant International University. My GMAT score was a 710. My rates for GMAT tutoring are much lower than you will find from the major test prep companies. I can also design individual study plans tailored to each student's timetable. In my opinion, students can benefit more from focused one-on-one tutoring than from expensive group classes. My students have been pleased with their results.
