Introduction: DIRECTOR OF AUDIO After a lifetime as a Musician, Composer, Arranger and as a Music Producer specialized in Concept Albums, I create Audio from a Unique Perspective. I envision the Sonic Flavor and impact of a Film’s Audio from the first time I read the Script. I understand Audio in terms of Emotion, Color, Temperature, Depth and 3-Dimensional Space (Surround Sound). I realize that the Tracks recorded On Location will undeniably flavor the final Mix. It’s the understanding of the process combined with my ability to modify and blend complicated aspects of both sound and music into a distinctive mix that allows me to create a captivating Artistic Audio Product every time. BUDGET With the experience gained as a Writer, Director, Producer, Director of Photography and Editor, I understand the complete Film Making Process. With my Military Electronics background and education in Business Management, Scheduling and Production Management, I understand Production and Cost Reduction as few can. By assuming the Quality, Artistic and Fiscal Responsibility for all aspects of the Audio portion of your Project, I am able to control the Budget and find Cost Savings within the work flow. Audio is the real untapped Frontier in Film Making. While we’ve seen major advances and innovations on the visual side, Audio remains largely as it has for most of Film History. Using a concept album approach allows a Film’s Soundtrack to be as distinctive as Sgt. Peppers (The Beatles), Nine Inch Nails or a Beck CD.
