miss tran is a contemporary, youthful, energetic therapist. the greatest i've ever had. instead of an old, boring therapist, she stays engaged and is very young and youthful. it provides a fresh perspective compared to old school therapists who simply ask how you feel. i highly reccomend miss tran to anyone seeking counseling to any kind of problem out there ! she is amazing and i owe her a lot. she's helped me dig through a lot of my psyche.
Patti is a kind, considerate therapist. I highly recommend her. Lori G.
I went into the session a little hesitant as I had never been professionally counseled before but Jennifer Hill immediately made me feel Comfortable and at ease. She has such a calming effect and was able to provide great perspective for my circumstance along with a progressive game plan to combat my mental anguish and ultimately get me to the peaceful confident grounds I hope to be at one day so thank you Jennifer and see you soon.
Christy worked well with my daughter and I to stop fighting all of the time. She also worked individually with my daughter. She had the best year ever in school, started making better choices with friends and now feels great about herself.
I started with DV counseling. My original perception of such court mandated classes was that it would be a waste of time, but it was quite the contrary. Jimmy explained the concepts in a manner that was relevant to myself and others in the class. I learned to see things differently and to be more open minded. I never sensed any condescending tone, and we received good info and tips that we could use immediately. After graduating, I wanted to do couples therapy. Unfortunately, my partner did not, so I did individual counseling. I learned a lot about myself and how to deal with codependency, forgiveness, trust, relationships, children, God, addiction. What i really appreciate of Jimmy is that he can he can get on your level, scientific research data, psychological, medical, religious, biblical, whatever. He helped me to understand and see what decisions I could take and why, how to prioritize my time, and sometimes homework that would be of great value. Things didn't work out with my ex wife, but my kids and I are thriving. I have full custody of them. I occasionally visit Jimmy for a "check up/ tune up" whenever time permits. I wish I would have gone to him sooner. We all need help. They are good and reliable. It's worth it.
I'm more like an expert guide in the wilderness.... I'll offer you insight, and to show you proven tools that will cut like a laser to the truth, and you'll know you're safe, ...and "good enough". Really. Do you want a counselor who has studied about how to overcome anxiety or one who has both studied and overcome it themselves? I bring over twenty-five years on the path of discovering how Life works, and how to stay in the Flow, where everything is just working out for You!
There are times in everyone's life when we feel that we do not know which way to go, become overwhelmed, or are faced with a major life decision. During these times, it can be difficult to recall your strengths, find a solution, or even create a reasonable path for yourself. It can be greatly beneficial to speak to someone who is able to not only listen and offer support, but also guide you to discover your own solution to your life challenges. I feel that therapy must be flexible in order to facilitate positive change thought out to one's life. Due to this, I practice psychotherapy through a bend of CBT, solution-focused therapy, and extended family systems.

I translate pain into English. In a private counseling session, I usually interrogate the body by observing the colors, textures, and smells of the body and by testing the sensitivity of pressure points and the relative strength of muscles. I point out that the body is always talking to us, and it always tells the truth. I draw from my training in engineering and my experience with The Human Machine Clinic to help translate the language of the body (pain) into English so that we can determine what the best course of action might be to reestablish balance or homeostasis. The body knows what it does not need or want, and it lets us know by making us uncomfortable. I encourage fluid and energy flow. I have a number of offices from Santa Barbara to San Diego. I am available for workshops and special presentations.
