I would like to say, first off, that I am a very self conscious person that has always been afraid of the gym and the judgement from people while at the gym. I have never been great at motivating myself to work out nor have I felt confident with doing exercises at the gym. On our first meeting, Jay put all those fears and concerns at ease! I have been working with Jay now for about 12 weeks. During that time I lost my mother and had to take time away from our sessions, about 3 weeks (so effectively in the gym 9 weeks with Jay). Although I was not in the gym, Jay made sure to check-in with me multiple times a week to make sure I was doing okay mentally and to offer his support. Upon returning to our sessions, Jay has been vigilant in making sure that I am getting stronger, meeting goals, and continuing on my weight loss journey. Jay pushes me every session to hit my max lift/personal best and to continually improve from the previous sessions. Since beginning with Jay earlier this year (Jan. 23,2024), I have lost 20lbs and my endurance has increased exponentially. Jay also takes time to celebrate not only your wins in /out of the gym but also you in general! Jay is always happy to answer any of my questions, have a fun conversation, and show encouragement/motivation when I am doubting myself. I feel that I have not only found the best trainer possible but also a friend in Jay! I owe Jay such a huge thanks for everything he has done for me over these last few months and what he will continue to do in the future. I would highly recommend Jay to anyone that is looking to make nutritional, physical, emotional, and mental changes in their lives!

For the better part of my adult life, I've been battling with my weight. It's a story I'm sure many people can relate to! As a result of a recent visit to my doctor about changing my lifestyle, I have decided to take control of my health. In the end, I realized I could not do it alone and asked for help without shame. As a result, I went on the hunt for a Personal Trainer who could motivate me to reach my goals. My search led me to the Jaycromero Fitness location here in Long Beach! The fact that he specialized in fat loss, muscle building, strength training, and more was the most appealing feature for me. A consultation and assessment of your fitness are included with all new inquiries so Jay and you can come up with a plan. Parking: Near the gym, there is a free parking lot on 5th and Pine that offers two-hour parking for free. Considering a session lasts about 45 minutes to an hour, parking is never a problem, and the parking lot is usually empty. Gym: The gym is called Self Made and it is located in downtown Long Beach. Gyms can be intimidating at first, but one thing I like about them is that everyone is there with their trainer helping them make their goals a reality, and removing the intimidation that comes with being new. Fitness equipment in the gym includes resistance bands, treadmills, free weights, battle ropes, rowing machines, and even a boxing ring. You'd be surprised at how much more they have than you think. When you don't have time to prepare your meals and are in a hurry, you can order from their small meal service. Jay Personal Trainer: My first step was to text Jay after I arrived at the gym, as only members were allowed to access the gym. To make it even better, if you are working with a trainer, you do not need to pay for gym memberships. All you need to pay for is Jay's training services! I was immediately at ease when Jay opened the door and welcomed me with a smile. In addition to introducing himself, Jay explained his experience and the background of his company. Just the two of us went to a small area where we discussed my overall goals and what I wanted to gain from the experience. As a result, we performed a short workout to determine my fitness level, and I have to tell you, it was very low. Jay, however, was beyond supportive. His approach was to get down on my level and tell me it's day one, and that everyone starts somewhere. After working with Jay for almost two weeks now, I can see a difference in my energy, confidence, and overall gym feeling. The workouts he designs are tailored to my abilities, and he challenges me consistently! As someone who is just getting back into working out, he motivates me and pushes me past my limits while understanding my physical limitations. Mela Plan: In addition to personal training, Jay provides meal plans, and even if one doesn't agree with you, mine was grapefruit, we work together to find an acceptable replacement. Remember, it is a lifestyle change, so you will not get everything you want! As part of his meal plan, Jay also uses an app to document your progress, take pictures, and add to your meal plan. Moreover, Jay will be available for any questions or concerns you may have about using this app.  In conclusion, if you're looking for a trainer, Jaycromero Fitness is the right choice! Moreover, he has so much energy, always has a smile, and is supportive. It is clear that he is passionate about what he does, and even if you don't believe in yourself, he believes in you as a client.

I only write reviews a little, as I’m social media-averse. However, I want to mention when one deserves it. Jay is someone I sought out after researching many trainers in/around the area. Despite a good 30-minute drive from home, I still chose him as my trainer because he met my expectations: professional, evidence-based, knowledgeable, supportive, engaged, friendly, and most importantly, no nonsense. My goal was to completely transform my skinny, fat/chubby body to be as shredded as possible. So, I’ve been training with Jay for roughly five months since Nov 30th. Since then, I have followed all his training instructions and nutrition plans and worked hard. My body has changed, and I’m in the best shape of my life ( I see my abs now!), in my mid-30s. The level of change we have accomplished together is terrific (~30 lbs total weight lost, with ~14/15% body fat loss), and the best part is now changing my mindset to my new reality. My work ethic is very high, and Jay’s style matches mine. Even if you do not, you will be motivated by his training and support. Just put in the work, he will be there with you. My desired duration was only three months, but now I plan to stay with Jay for the foreseeable future :) The only constructive criticism for Jay, which will help him continue to be excellent and grow, is to balance/keep the quality of his training/support high while managing increasing client quantity. This is only noticeable outside training hours, mind you (messaging, etc.); he’s busier with clients :) I wish you continued success with your business, Jay, and thank you for being part of my body transformation journey! Pick him as a trainer if you are serious about meeting your goals. You will be satisfied!

Jay is an amazing trainer. He keeps the energy going and motivates me to push through our dynamic training sessions. Watching his journey through Instagram has given me tremendous inspiration. The gym where we train has a wonderful atmosphere. It is very accessible and we have free parking right near the facility. I would gladly recommend Jay to anyone wanting to train whether you are a beginner or an advanced athlete. Jay is the most dedicated and insightful trainer in SoCal!

Excellent !! Jay is by far the best personal trainer I have worked with. I leave each session stronger and more motivated. He is extremely knowledgeable and designs his workouts specifically to his clients. He is always challenging, motivating and encourage me to work harder. Jay is always on time, professional ,kind and very responsive. If you want to see results and work with a true professional it’s him. I highly recommend Jay!
