There are not enough words to express my thanks for connecting me with Dan Mckechnie ! I needed a film editor to produce a compilation of photos for my husband's memorial service. If there were an Academy Award for memorial videos, Dan would win without question! Not only was his work beautiful, creative and on time, but his patience with me was almost superhuman! He delivered above and beyond. He allowed me to take part in the editing which turned out to be the most therapeutic activity I engaged in. I hired him out of a field of 6 people who answered my request for help with my husband's memorial. The reason I chose him was that he was the only one of the 6 who expressed sympathy for my loss. I knew by this that he had the sensitivity to handle the project. His price for making this priceless video was more than fair. His attention and kindness went far beyond what would have been needed for the project. I will always be grateful to Dan and to Thumbtack for linking me up with him!

5+ stars for Dan! I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with someone as professional as Dan. His equipment is state of the art. He is very creative with the work, and gives excellent suggestions when it comes to both video taping and editing. He has a wide spectrum of technical tools such as templates and special video features. He is really respectful, professional, and overall a great person to work with. I will always hire Dan in the future for any video needs I have (so I selfishly hope he doesn't become too popular)!

Dan filmed and edited a video for us for Kickstarter. We feel fortunate to have found him. He is experienced professional who made us feel like our project was an adventure for him as well. He is extremely methodical, and a perfectionist which only helps the end product. You can rely on him to take the time and effort to work on it until it's right. His equipment and studio are state of the art down to the (literally) the white glove treatment he uses for his lighting, He got to the site to set up before the time we were scheduled to be there and he had everything prepared by then. He is very patient man and made a novice feel comfortable in front of the camera. He brought his connections, experience, advice and sense of humor to our project. We are looking forward to a successful project and being able to collaborate with Dan for many additional projects in the future. The project has just ended but I miss him already. Dan worked closely with us to design creative videos that were personalized to our unique business needs. He filmed and edited all the footage shot with his state of the art, sophisticated equipment. His production company was very successful at adding a creative flair to our projects and made them more ambitious than something like a simple commercial might otherwise be. I would say he is an expert in promotional videos, especially for clients that wish to start marketing on television or the internet.

Moving Images is very competitively priced and offer a great value that exceeds our customer's expectations. Our customer's become friends for a reason.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We do some creative treatments to get a great idea of what the customer wants and what might be available. We try to establish objectives of the customer both for the creation of the project and how the video will be used when we finish the program(s).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BA in Liberal Studies and a teaching degree. Lots of technical training classes. Go to National Association of Broadcasters convention each year.
