Introduction: I am a Los Angeles/London based actor. I've recently graduated from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, where I majored in acting and minored in diction. I'm highly skilled in text analysis and audition prep, so one-on-one lessons are best. I also have experience with children's theatre from ages five to sixteen.
Whether you're looking to add that special touch to your next audition, dig your teeth into iambic pentameter, or just work and film a self tape, we'll find what's right for you! Even if you're not looking to act professionally, acting lessons are a great way to boost your confidence, improve your public speaking skill, expand your vocal range and eloquence - and this applies to all ages, you're never too old or too young!
As you've probably read in one of the reviews below, sometimes I have rescheduled lessons on pretty short notice - two days minimum. Never fear, this doesn't happen often, but yes, some auditions are thrown on my plate very last minute. But any lesson effected will be rescheduled and extended by 15 minutes.

Shakara was assistant director on my daughters play two years ago. She was incredible, the kids loved her. She really challenged them to be creative and think outside the box. I've never seen 12 years act as well as they did in this show! Wishing you all the best Shakara.

I did audition prep classes with shakara for 4 months here in London, she was brilliant, really creative eye. Only negative is she had to reschedule a few lessons for auditions of her own, etc... which is fair enough, but it was always quite short notice. Other than that she was brilliant, such a lovely mentor x
