FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been a creative person. After graduating from Fashion Institute of design and merchandising. I worked for a large embroidery company in Los Angels. I worked with lots clothing manufactures, including St. John Knits, Trina Turk etc.. Learning all the different types of embroidery stitches and embellishments. But it was the buying trips to Europe that is what really inspired me to dive into world embroidery for interiors. Seeing those magnificent palaces in Spain, Portugal, France and England is what made me start my own company, Embroidery Palace Inc. I remember seeing upholstred walls of embroidery, beautiful canopy beds coverded in Embroidery. This was the beginning of Embroidery Palace Inc.

- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
My last commission was for a very large estate in the Beverly Hills. I was asked to embroider a Chinoiserie scene on three large windows. The center drape was a sheer fabric with a 10" chinoiserie boarder with pagodas, dragons, birds, tress and bridges. In the middle of the drape was a chinoiserie scene with two ladies with pots and flowers, tress, bridges. Above the sheer drape I embroidered a silk valance with a pagoda, chinoiserie man, women, dragon flies, butterflies with scrolls and flowers above. On each side of the center large window were two smaller windows with hanging sheers and silk panels with the same chinoiserie scene. Also with silk valances above the window. It was a big challenge and happy to say it was magnificent.
