Look no further, this is the caterer you want! Chef Marcel is a professional, hands-on, and detail-oriented caterer and I cannot recommend him highly enough. I hired Marcel to cater a lunch for almost 300 people and it was a huge success. Everyone commented how much they loved the food from Marcel's American menu, especially the chicken thighs. Our vegetarians were happy as well since there were dishes just for them. Marcel arrived early, stayed throughout the meal and even cleaned up afterwards. He was able to work with our budget and provide us with a stress free, wonderful meal. A true professional!
I was looking for a cooking instructor for my daughter who has a gluten sensitivity as well as OAS (oral allergy syndrome). Luckily for us, Theo was intrigued and he certainly was up for this challenge! He was able to show her how to easily cook foods she could eat and how to plan her meals. She will be continuing with Theo because he has helped her so many ways already. It has given me a sense of relief as a mom that my daughter will continue to be in great hands with Theo and she can now eat something besides gluten free mac and cheese!!! Thanks Theo, you're the best!
Keith catered our Asain Garden Birthday Party for 35 people. Keith was very nice and on time. He came and quickly set up which was good because our crowd was hungry. He just as quickly cleaned up, packed my leftovers for me and was gone with a smile. It was a very easy production unlike other places that I have used and had to ask, where's this, what happened with that. Keith knew his stuff and did it elegantly! I would use him again. Not to mention he can cook allergy and gluten free!
I hired Miami Grill Catering at my Disco Wedding party last November, and boy was I impressed. Although I barely ate that night do to all the excitement my guests are still talking about the quality of the meats.Even though the meal was as carnivore as it gets, Sal and his crew offered delicious grilled vegetables, soy tacos to cater to the few vegetarians in the group. It is important to note that this meal also fed many gluten intolerant s. In addition the service was exceptional and like mentioned in other reviews Sal (the owner) was hands on every step of the way. Chef Vicky Valencia is an excellent chef. Vicky was my husband's personal chef for 3 years. My husband, John, had Eczema and other food allergies. Chef Vicky, in collaboration with my husband's doctor, figured out which foods he was allergic to. She then cooked wonderful and delicious meals that were gluten-free, sugar-free, dairy-free. She focused on protein and vegetable dishes. His favorites: Stuffed Red Peppers with Ground Turkey, Mexican Meatballs, Vegetable Turkey Patties, amongst many other yummy dishes. John loved her cooking and felt so much better. He had more energy, and he looked younger too :) Moreover, I, along with another friend took several cooking classes with Chef Vicky. She showed us how to cook amazing dishes that helped alleviate menopause symptoms. She also taught us some wonderful holiday dishes such as Polenta Casserole, Breaded Seitan, Mushroom Ragout, and awesome cranberry sauce. Chef Vicky has high standards in food handling and hygiene practice. She displayed great knowledge of healthy and whole foods. Moreover, she has a course completion in Macrobiotic Diet. She put a great amount of time understanding her clients' needs and works very hard to cook outstanding meals made with a lot of love. She is very friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help. She is simply the best!! I highly recommend Chef Vicky Valencia. Please check her cooking out. You won't regret it. Thank you.
Chef Nancy and her team created an entire gluten free menu for our party since my wife and I have Celiac disease. Food, service, clean up were all great. Would use her again in a heartbeat!
Elisha is incredibly knowledgable about all things organic, GMO-free and sustainable. She is fun and creative and made the cooking class that I took one of my very favorite nights. Let her show you around the farmer's market or around the kitchen. You will have a blast!!!
I first encountered Chef Judith at a local Whole Foods Market where she was demonstrating some of her recipes. I have had the pleasure of inviting her to chef at our home on many occasions. She specializes in healthy food and teaches authentic Tuscan after living there for 40 years. She also teaches Gluten-Free and Paleo. Judith's creations are delicious and her wealth of information makes every meal an education. In fact, she has just completed a book that addresses her passion for healthful food. If you share her interests, she will delight you with her expertise.
Tracy is lovely and her food is delicious and innovative! She creates the best gluten free and specialized menus and really cares about the source/ingredients. I highly recommend Tracy as a private chef and for dinner parties. She deserves more than five stars!
Gabriela catered a Pajamas & Pancakes themed event I hosted for my son's preschool. Children and parents, alike, devoured the freshly prepared pancakes and breakfast wraps. She even prepared egg- and gluten-free pancakes for those with allergies. Some extra nice touches were the whipped butter and homemade jam, along with a variety of other toppings. The presentation was perfect and she was constantly refilling the platters so no one - especially the kids - had to wait for food. I highly recommend Gabriela and will definitely hire her again.
First, Season is an incredible person, with an amazing presence. Secondly, her food, is vibrant and delicious!!! If you thinking about a cake,yum!!! My Husband got me a chocolate chip, gluten free, banana bread, after my daughter was born, and that has become a staple need/want in my life. I in turn got my Husband a Chocolate Mint Cake for his Birthday and WOW!!! Season, said it was her first time making that flavor, I didn't believe her, no way. It was the bomb. Season, will not let you down, only raise you up!!!
His knowledge was amazing. He was able to breakdown, in an easy to understand way, the science, and the art of cooking. What was also great was that he didn't just teach recipes, he taught the different principles of cooking and because of that I can create great, delicious dishes from scratch, not matter what I have in the fridge. My mind was blown when we covered salads. I didn't know there was another side of salads that made it more enticing and more high class. (see picture below) Overall, Chef Know-It-All is an amazing, artful chef that has the ability to make others fall in love with cooking. He's patient, insightful, and heavily invested in the student's progress and success. Every question I had, he answered. And every hurdle I had, he helped me get over it. Oh and did I mention it was fun! He taught me some flair tricks that the professionals use to make cooking fancy. Now I'm flipping sauces, cooking with big fires, and sprinkling flourishes left and right! I simply can't enough. 5 out of 5 stars for me.
Elaine helped my daughter and I with cooking lessons and menu ideas that would work with both of our dietary issues. We spent an afternoon together - through the magic of web cams. We prepared a vegetable lasagna, a spinach and strawberry salad, the most amazing miso soup ever and a squash and edamame treat that was out of this world. The dishes we prepared were made from fresh, organic ingredients that were gluten free, light on salt and most importantly quick and easy to prepare in our busy schedules. Elaine took every culinary and dietary issue of ours and came back with brilliant solutions. Elaine is knowledgeable and approachable with the ability to communicate what she knows without being preachy. I've ordered the Herblends seasonings, and she also has a cookbook. I'm very impressed her knowledge and abilities make great food and show us how she does it.
Evan cooked for my family of 9. It was delicious, and I would highly recommend him to anyone hosting a group dinner. We had a few dietary restrictions (vegetarian/gluten free/kosher), and he was able to easily modify the dishes to adhere to the different restrictions.
Shane and Marie have led two in home chef dinner parties for us. From the moment I reached out to them, through the meal planning process to the moment they left, I was impressed with their thoughtfulness, professionalism and the quality of their work. The prep...Marie was always quick to respond with seasonal menus and very accommodating to multiple dietary needs (gluten free, vegan, etc.) The meal...both dinner parties were held in our home and our guest were absolutely blown away! Shane & Marie brought fresh, local ingredients to create three tasty courses. They also shared some cooking tips for those who were interested. I still enjoy adding shiitake bacon to my salads to this day! The wrap up...after dinner was served Shane and Marie delighted us with dessert and left the space spotless. I only wish they were still in SF so we could enjoy more of their delicious creations!
As a carnivore I typically do not eat more creative, healthy or eco conscious foods. Including but not limited to gluten free or strict vegan recipes. I requested an apple pie for a Thanksgiving desert. I was curious when she told me the recipe is vegan, gluten free and all organic. There has never been a pie eaten faster, especially by those who thought it was full of grandmas secret ingredients "butter" . I am thankful I found her and her wonderful vision for cuisine.
My wife Caitlyn and I wanted vegan cupcakes and a smoothie bar for our wedding. We initially got in touch with Christina for the cupcakes....but she also delivered on a smoothie bar that was talked about all night! The cupcakes were one of the biggest hits of the whole wedding. They far exceeded even our expectations. We told no one that they were vegan and people raved about them. Three of the four cupcake options were also gluten free! This was an amazing treat for those with gluten intolerance. We spent the day after the wedding delivering her amazing cupcakes to many of our friends and co-workers who were not at the wedding. Christina is not simply a chef...she is a creator and artist of amazing life giving food.
My husband and I hired Chef Villareal for our wedding this year and we could have not been happier. She was extremely professional but really warm and personable at the same time. The ingredients she used were seasonal and she was able to cater to the vast array of guest preferences we had...... even catering to one friend that was dairy and gluten free! The food ended up being a huge hit and was the topic of conversation days after our wedding. Living in a city with so much culinary talent, we had the choice of many sucessful chefs which made the final decision hard to finalize. I am so extremely happy that we went with Lady Day Catering. Could have not been more happy with her service and cooking talent. Highly recommend!
Danae was amazing. She was creative and I never was bored. She cooked in my home and I felt completely at ease knowing when I came home I would have a fridge full of yummy meals. She made me gluten free, vegetarian delicious food each week. If you're looking for a chef, you should definitely choose her!
I just received my order in Montauk, NY and had to immediately reach out and thank Taste Pad Thai for beautiful fresh products shipped from CA. My order was for 8 stalks of lemongrass and 14 oz. of Galangal root. I was very pleasantly surprised when I opened my package and found 12 huge stalks of lemongrass, 2 huge galangal roots as well as a large handful of kaffir lime leaves that were thrown in for free. I will DEFINITELY be ordering from them again.
Chef Jay is such an amazing warm and kind spirit. Her food is prepared with love, and you can taste it! We have monthly cooking lessons with my son and myself and he LOVES it! Jay takes a fun scientific approach to explaining food, often giving my son the tips and tricks he needs to create all types of cool things like parmesan cheese foam and teaching him how to make rainbow mozzarella cheese for his homemade pizzas - something he found beyond amazing. I enjoy the variety she offers - vegetarian dishes for me and kid-friendly gluten free meals for my son. She has taught me so much about preparing food for my boy that he can safely eat and enjoy without getting bored, and for that I am grateful. If you'd like flavor-filled food and a chef who has the patience of a saint, you'll for sure find that in Jay. Oh yea, ask her to make her amazing fried mac & cheese!
