About
I have been teaching guitar lessons since I was in high school (I just graduated from USC in Los Angeles where I studied jazz guitar). I am very patient and nothing is more important to me than helping my students progress! I can teach any style of music to anyone from beginners to very advanced players, and I have a very strong knowledge of theory. I love the guitar, and hope I can spread the love of the instrument to anyone eager to learn!

Eli has all of the qualities you could look for in a teacher: knowledgeable, practical, patient, and adaptive.
I had already been playing guitar for years when I came to him for help getting to the next level -- actually understanding and applying music theory to the guitar so I can improv better in a solo or group setting.
I am satisfied thus far and look forward to continuing our lessons.

Eli is a fantastic musician and incredibly articulate teacher - as a beginner I had a lot of questions about how to think about playing, and he answered them all concisely but also gave me a lot to think about and work on during my practice moving forward. Because Eli is well-versed in both jazz and pop styles, he was able to give me a lot of insight on how to practice accompanying myself as well as how to approach soloing on the guitar, and simultaneously kept in mind all of the necessary elements of music theory from a guitarist's perspective. Awesome teacher and musician, definitely recommend working with Eli!

Eli is very knowledgeable and patient. As an adult learner, patience is a must! I am studying acoustic jazz guitar. I am impressed with Eli's twists and voicings on the classic songs. I am totally enjoying my time with Elie and while improving my guitar playing.

Eli is an amazing teacher!! I started as a beginner with him- I feel SO much more comfortable playing the guitar, along with the theory that goes with being able to understand and dive deeper into music. My favorite part about the lessons are that they’re really tailored to what I want to work on. Because he’s such a versatile and open musician/person, he can help you in any type of music you’re interested in. I started learning how to get around the instrument, but was soon improvising. I am going to continue my lessons with Eli as long as he’s in LA!!
