If you have broken up with someone, divorced, or separated from you spouse or significant other then this group is definitely for you! It sucks when separation happens. It's worse if you've lived with someone and you had to get your things back. Divorce/separation/breakups sucks, especially when you have kids. Then there's court and lawyer fees. On top of that you still have to go to work the next day! Or you're in college and you still have to go to school AND work the next day! AND... in some way, shape, or form, you still have to see the other person!
We get together and vent, get stuff out there, and give each other support. I also do a guided meditation to help you manage your feelings just to get through the f*#%ing day. I'm a Certified Hypnotherapist with my Master's degree in Psychology AND I'm 3 years away from getting my PsyD (Doctor of Psychotherapy). I've also written a book.
I've been there. I've had friends who've been there. This type of separation leaves a hole that no matter how horrible the breakup was, you're still left to pick up the pieces. This group is your regular hug/shoulder-to-cry-on and place to get additional support if you need it. ***THIS IS NOT A THERAPY GROUP! THIS IS NOT GROUP COUNSELING OR GROUP THERAPY! ***
