I've been tutoring high school and undergraduate students in English/writing, math (up to college Algebra II), and the SAT for several years, and have a straight A record. I examine each student's personality, study and time management habits, strengths and weaknesses, learning styles, and thinking styles in order to customize a tutoring approach that takes advantages of their strengths while strengthening their weaknesses. The three major areas I tutor are: - English/writing - Math (up to college algebra) - SAT/ACT

I am a world class linguist with genius level language and teaching skills, many many years of experience unraveling the mysteries of language that nobody but perhaps a handful know or have ever known about in the whole world. I should be charging 100 dollars an hour at a minimum, but I'm not greedy. Although I am Italian, my mastery of American English is Nobel prize writer level, and what I know about the English language itself, perhaps ten people in the whole world might know. When you learn, you should learn from a master, or it's wasted time.
My name is Giulia, I was born in Italy and I've just moved to California. My hometown is Napoli, very well know for its traditional recipes and variations of other regional plates. My special dishes are most of all with pasta, especially pasta alla napoletana, carbonara, bolognese, seafood, pasta al forno (in the oven), and all sort of pasta with legumes and vegetables. Moreover, I can teach you how to prepare healthy but really tasty meat or fish dishes, vegetarian and Italian variations of Asian food as light Cantonese rise, noodles with vegetables and curry chicken. I can teach you how to make home made pasta, such as gnocchi and fettuccine, and share with you all the secrets I have learned through family's generations. Also, I can give you advice about the products to use for the real Italian taste! Italian language and culture. I will teach you Italian from the basis (depends on your level) starting from the alphabet and simple sentences. Grammar and conversation go together, because one is fundamental for the other. Other aims are the written and oral comprehension and learning about Italian culture like main historic facts, literature, music, cinema, recent events and cities.
Do you need some help with math? I can help you with that! I completed Calculus BC in junior year of high school with a score of 5, and none of my high school math grades were below 95%. Also, I got a score of 750 in SAT Math I and 770 in SAT Math IIC. Therefore, I am very comfortable in teaching from grades 1 to 11 math. I have some teaching experience as a peer tutor for a year, but most importantly, I am very passionate about math. You might not like math right now, but I will change that. You have logical intellect inside you, and in your math class, you just have to not freak out and use that innate talent in you. My goal is to get you interested in math and excel at it. I am from South Korea and have been studying in an island beside Vancouver, Canada, for 6 years. I am currently a UCLA student and major in psychobiology (behavioural psychology). I usually charge $20 to $25 per hour, but feel free to negotiate an alternative price with me if you have one. Thank you.

I grew up part of my life in Los Angeles, California, and the other part in Merida Yucatan in Mexico. I have taught Spanish both to retirees living in Mexico from United States and Europe and in the United States. This is a side job I do about 8 to 10 hours per week. I am completely fluent in both English and Spanish. I am self-taught in Spanish, and although I am fluent now, when I was young, I had to figure the language out for myself. This gives me an edge that native Spanish speakers don't have. I have always gotten a lot of good feedback from everyone I have tutored in Spanish, and I hope to work with you in the near future!
