Introduction: Feeling stuck or lost? Have a job you hate? Ready to make a career change? Lacking motivation and drive? Afraid to ask for a raise? Suffering from imposter syndrome? Losing self-confidence? Having difficulty with clients, colleagues, or boss? Having work/life balance issues? These are examples of challenges you might face as a professional person but might not feel comfortable sharing with colleagues, close friends, or even family members. Sometimes those closest to you are too biased and opinionated to offer constructive advice, or they may lack the knowledge, experience, and emotional intelligence to provide the most appropriate guidance and support. This is where a neutral party like a life/personal coach can be beneficial. Coaching is a co-creative relationship. As a coach, I serve as a thought-partner to help guide you through a process that allows you to reach your own conclusions about how best to achieve your goals consistent with your own vision and values, not mine or somebody else’s. Coaching is also a support system that provides:  A safe space for open, honest, and meaningful dialogue  New perspectives  Inspiration, motivation, and encouragement  Potential solutions  Next Steps  Accountability Every client is unique, so I generally do not offer one-size fits all, months-long coaching programs, and packages. I tailor my coaching to the needs of each individual client, and we work together to explore and generate ideas, shifts in thinking and mindset, new opportunities, renewed focus and energy, progress towards goals, and excitement about the future. Plus, the continuity of regular one-on-one coaching sessions builds a foundation of partnership, trust, and accountability. TYPES OF COACHING OFFERED: • Life Coaching – personal/family relationships; life vision, direction, motivation, goals, etc. • Executive Coaching – managing client relationships, dealing with work colleagues/direct reports/boss, meeting performance goals, better managing time and responsibilities, building confidence, etc. • Career Coaching – finding right career path, seeking a promotion, changing jobs/careers, asking for a raise/compensation negotiation, considering college/grad school, etc. ABOUT ME: I have coached, mentored, and guided people formally as a workplace manager and informally as a peer and friend throughout my adult life. Prior to becoming a personal coach, I worked for 20 years in the higher education and non-profit sectors as a fundraiser and senior level manager, and briefly worked in private banking/wealth management. I now write TV scripts in my spare time. I hold a bachelor's degree in organizational communication from Pepperdine University and master's degree in political science from American University. I am currently enrolled in the certified coach program at Coach Training Alliance (CTA), which is accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). My Son (22 years old) has just been stuck (transitioning from adolescence to young adulthood), not knowing his path. So I looked into a “Life Coach” and came across Trevin Hartwell. I reach out to Mr. Hartwell and he responded is a timely manner. In speaking with him regarding my Son, he understood exactly what my son was going through. He has now been working with my Son going on two months, helping him uncover what it is he needs to do and wants to do. My Son now has an objective source guiding him throughout this crazy transition. He has helped my Son actively decide which steps to take to reach his goals. I will keep you updated on my Son’s progress, and I intend to continue using Mr. Hartwell as long as needed ! ! !

Trevin was absolutely so professional and so willing to guide our son, however it didn't work out, our son was not willing to work on his own goals. All in all, I would recommend Trevin to all my friends and family. He was awesome and communicated any and all issues with us!

Thanks for your kind words Janet. Hopefully, down the road and at the right time, your son will be more ready to engage in a coaching relationship.

I was a little nervous when I first posted my request, since I’d never worked with with a career coach before and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Trevin was one of the first professionals to reach out to me, and I could not be happier with the service he has provided to me.

Trevin is a wonderful and supportive career coach. He truly cares about his clients, and he wants to see them succeed. I immediately felt at ease when we first spoke, and he asks excellent questions to help you make sense of why/how you feel stuck. I like that he tailors the sessions to the needs of his clients, and he works with you to create actionable steps to move towards your goal(s).

I feel much less anxiety and more confidence in myself since working with Trevin. He has helped me immensely, and I am so grateful to be working with him.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My per session rate is $150. However, if a client commits to a package of four or eight sessions up front the rate is discounted.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The initial consultation is always free. This gives the client and me the opportunity to introduce ourselves and determine whether we would be a good fit for a coaching relationship. If the client decides to hire me, I typically recommend that they commit to four coaching sessions up front so that we have an opportunity to build a rapport and have time to clarify the client's vision, goals, and next steps.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have coached, mentored, and guided people formally as a workplace manager and informally as a peer and friend throughout my life. Prior to becoming a personal coach on a professional level, I worked in the higher education and non-profit sectors as a senior manager and worked briefly in private banking/wealth management. I have a bachelor's degree in organizational communication from Pepperdine University and master's degree in political science from American University. In an effort to further enhance my coaching expertise and credentials, I am currently enrolled in the certified coaching program at Coach Training Alliance (CTA), which is accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
