FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Discounts are available for purchase of a package series of massages or yoga sessions or combination, as well as for cash payments. Rates for outcall massage and yoga are typically a little higher, as I do charge for my travel time and expenses.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For both massage and yoga clients, before our session I usually begin by discussing your goals and expectations for working together so that we're on the same page. If appropriate, we then assess posture and range of motion to determine the best course of treatment. During session, I encourage yoga and massage clients to collaborate and share feedback, unless they prefer to just zone out and enjoy. I will often leave clients with a bit of homework to maintain self-care between sessions, be it self-massage techniques or a tailored short series of yoga poses.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a 550 hour graduate of Institute for Psycho Structural Balancing in Culver City. I hold a massage certification through the state of California. I am an ERYT200 with Yoga Alliance, having completed my training at The Center for Yoga in Larchmont in 2003. I've spent many hours in self-study in yoga and massage, and am currently enrolled in a 1 year Craniosacral Training through Life Energy Institute, as well as a 3 year training in Somatic Experiencing, which helps clients release trauma held in the nervous system. I also teach a 15 hour course in Yoga Anatomy as part of Liberation Yoga's teacher training program.
