Introduction: Not only am I a trained/studied vocalist, I am also a multi-intsrumentalist who plays the ukulele, guitar, electric bass, drums and had a little experience on trombone some years back. Depending on the instrument I used, my understanding of music and it's theory has been constantly changing, forcing me to learn in a multitude of ways. I love it when a student is able to hear/see his/her improvement in the playing of their instrument. I remember how frustrating it would be when I couldn't understand something musically and I would feel much better when I got my head and hands/voice around a musical phrase/idea/lick. I want to help my students in their efforts to learn an instrument or music, in general. I might add that this may allow for my students to unlock their own natural understanding of music and their instrument.

Stephen is really amazing at getting my kid interested in music! He is thoughtful, super conscientious, and easy to work with. He gives his students the ability to bring their own music favorites into the lesson which was key to getting our son interested in playing piano.

Stephen is a fantastic teacher. He is patient with our son and very knowledgeable. He has motivated my son, who is really more active/athletic focused to be interested in music. He has made our son appreciate the art of music. He is always on time and very flexible if we need to make any changes. His pricing is very reasonable and we highly recommend him. He is a 5 star for sure, if I could give him more stars I would.

I have always loved music, never thought of teaching until the opportunity presented itself. It felt natural and gratifying and perfect for the degree that I have and the field that I desire to work in.
