Introduction: As a Professional Organizer with over 16 years of experience, we offer many services. I service the Los Angeles, Ventura , Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo County areas. Organizing/Packing/Unpacking does not take the time you may think, and we INCLUDE many of the items that are necessary to accomplish the work (at no extra charge.) What is more important is the fact that our clients are amazed with the outcome. We offer a professional service at an affordable price. Are you moving? Downsizing? We pack according to the needs of your move. Is it a local move? Out-of-state? (an out-of-state move requires additional detail.) We include the packing paper. room labeling tape and tape for the boxes (no extra charge.) The only requirement that we have is a 4 hour minimum. This will provide you with a much quicker way to organize the boxes for unpacking at your new residence. Everything is clearly labeled (room labels are color-coded) and there is special labeling for any boxes that you will need within the first 24-48 hours. (please see my photos.) Unpacking? Have you just moved into your home and need help to unpack and organize all of your belongings? It is a pleasure to offer this and we still include items at no additional cost. We not only unpack and organize your items, but we maximize every bit of the space you may have. Organizing/De-Cluttering? Organizing is a passion and I enjoy sharing this with my clients. I have always enjoyed helping others and no two projects are ever the same. Are you overcome with clutter? Have you lost a loved one and cannot bring yourself to sort through and organize their belongings? Do you consider yourself or have a loved one that has a great deal of clutter or is a hoarder? or...do you just have a closet, room or garage that needs a bit of attention. I can offer amazing solutions to any of these projects and more... When I complete the organization of a room or home, many times it wiil provide a life-changing experience for my client, especially those who have been dealing with clutter for many years. For those who are dealing with a lack of space, I am able to maximize that space In ways you never thought of and show you how to keep it that way. So glad we hired A Time to be organized to help pack our home for a move. From beginning to end, communication was great. Laurie got back to me right away as soon as I made an inquiry and we were able to set everything up. I sent photos of everything that needed to be packed so that they knew how many boxes (roughly) were needed. Shauna came to our home to pack everything and did such a great job! She was cautious with our belongings and asked questions when needed. She’d also bring up things I hadn’t even thought of which was so appreciated. On top of all that, she was so pleasant and easy to talk to. I didn’t feel at all like I had a stranger in my home. Would definitely recommend and hire them again. Thank you!

Laurie and her assistant helped organize, edit and stage our 4,000 sq. ft. home in preparation for putting it on the market for sale. I would never have been able to tackle this job on my own. I look forward to working with her again when we move to our new property.

A Time to be Organized is the ultimate in making any move “the BEST possible” ever.....be it small or to another state.....there are not enough words to describe (although I will!) the difference in your stressful life they can make. I have had the luxury of Laurie’s services twice and I could never had done the moves without their help. The “Angel” in my moves is Shauna! Laurie and Rhonda were fantastic to work with! Rhonda arrived on time and immediately got to work. She is organized and works very hard. Because of the work Rhonda did at my home, I felt a peace when all the junk was cleared and the closet was organized. On top of all that, she was so sweet and kind.   • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Yes I do. It is difficult to specify because every project is different. Someone may contact me to organize a closet and I also have clients that are downsizing from a large home that they no longer need to a smaller one that is more manageable. There can be a lot more involved in this and I provide a tier of pricing depending upon the project. I want to work within the budget of my clients.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I begin by speaking with the potential client over the phone and discussing their project in detail. I will find out what is involved, (how large is the project...does it involve a closet? room? entire home? garage? I will ask for their time-frame for the project. I will be looking for details to help me answer their questions. Because of the number of years in my profession (Organizing, Moving, and much more) I can look at a space and maximize the space to its' fullest potential. I take pride in this because in many homes, space is limited. My clients want to arrive home and feel proud of their surroundings. I can help them do this and very quickly! It is the end result and the happiness of my client that has kept me doing this for as long as I have. I truly love my work and what it does for others and they will see this. I also have many referrals a new client can speak with.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I have 16+ years of experience as an organizer and I am certified. I regularly take classes to stay on top of the latest and greatest but most of my experience is hands-on and I have so many different ways to work with my clients. I also teach classes and speak to groups on topics such as Organizing, Downsizing and Hoarding.
