- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a lifelong athlete, exercise has always been a passion of mine. When I discovered that I could use this passion to help empower people through their own hard work and dedication, I was hooked. After college athletics, I continued to make fitness a priority in my life and found that I was able to help friends and family with training and nutrition. Encouragement from those I had helped lead me towards an educational path that I continue to this day. After a few years of group exercise training, I began to take on personal clients by assisting them with training and nutrition. As I continued to hone my craft through certification and apprenticeship I felt comfortable to begin working with individuals returning from injury, or those with physical limitations. My path as a personal trainer may have begun as an athlete, but it has evolved into an opportunity for me to help people discover their own strengths and abilities.
