Introduction: Hi! My name is Alberto Favero and I am a Professor in Piano from the National University of La Plata, Argentina. I teach all levels: basic, intermediate, and repertoire. If you want to work on your piano technique, learn harmony, and/or jazz improv, I will be glad to help you achieve your goals and take your talent and piano playing skills to the next level. We can also take a look at different jazz styles, classical pieces, and more. If you are just beginning, or even if you have never played the piano before but would like to learn, welcome! I will be glad to guide you as you start your journey. I can teach you in English or in Spanish. I have a 40+ year career as a pianist, jazz pianist, arranger, orchestra conductor, music director, and composer. I have taught privately and as a university professor, teaching Music Education. I have known Alberto Favero for many years and he is a person who enjoys relating life, ideas and issues with musical knowledge. This is his way of exceeding traditional musical learning, as commonly taught, with a much more global and integral approach. He establishes a very personal and friendly relationship where the values of knowledge are present in a systematic and self-reflective manner. He can be a great piano teacher, but he’s also a source of integral Musical Education, in a multiplicity of forms or styles.

I highly recommend Alberto as a piano instructor. I made major improvements in my technique and improv skills - He taught me a lot of harmony which I can apply to my improv and reading as well. His suggestions are always valuable and make a difference. I now have a nice set of classical pieces I can play and, encouraged by Alberto, I recently started working on Chopin's Study N°4. Nice challenge, thanks Alberto!

Alberto taught me everything since I started with him from scratch. Although he is amazingly experienced and talented, he had the patience and the method to teach me and help me take the first steps. I enjoy his classes a lot just as I enjoy playing the piano. So grateful to have him as a teacher!

I am an advanced piano player, have been playing for years, and wanted to work on my technique. I also wanted to explore the jazz language and learn some harmony. We can work for 30, 45, or 60 minutes, as many times per week as you like. Check out the fees for more info.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we will establish what the student's goals are. Then, whether the student needs to prepare for exams, a performance, or just wishes to have fun and enjoy playing the piano by discovering new musical pieces or improv, I will design a tailored process to make his or her journey entertaining and effective.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to University in La Plata, Argentina and got a Bachelor's degree in Music (Piano), and another one in Music Composition.
