FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $100.00 an hour for Art Installation, with a one hour minimum per booking. Each hour after the first is subdivided in the normal fashion, so 1.5 hrs is $150.00, 2 hours is $200.00, etc. If the job site is more than an hour drive from my office there is an additional $150.00 travel fee. This covers the 2 hours (or often more ) of extra drive time - there and back - which can take up 1/2 or more of the work day. I often do jobs that are a 2 or 3 hour (or more) drive away, from down to San Diego or to as far north as San Francisco or even, Napa. I can easily install from 5 to 10 works in an hour, depending on their size and their specific installation location requirements. It’s also important to consider how long it takes the client and I to decide upon the works placement. If, for any booking, a second art installer is required, I work with a few equally highly experienced expert installers who can be brought on as part of a job. They are paid the same rate as I am and, if applicable, also receive the driving fee as well.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to talk or text on the phone to get a sense of the specifics of the job. I do ask that you text me your address asap to confirm the booking and the details of our appointment. Thus I have your address and your number so that I can contact you a day in advance to reconfirm. I accept cash, check, Venmo, Zelle or Paypal, which are payed upon completion of the job.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Please see my extensive CV/Resume which is attached to every quote that I send.
