About

Number one priority for me is for lessons to be fun! I teach students of all ages and levels, and I structure my lessons on the interests and abilities of my students, while also making sure they learn the foundations for good musicianship. I teach my students skills and tools that will help them continue to learn music. Working on music is so fun! Music is such an amazing creative outlet, so it’s very rewarding to help others learn! Playing music is truly for everyone and I love passing on skills to help others play songs and create music.

I have worked with Rachel in a variety of musical contexts , and I could give no higher praise nor recommendation than to her . I call her the “X Factor,” because you never know just how above and beyond she will go in any professional, interpersonal , or creative pursuit . She puts her heart into her work , as well as her immense knowledge , practice , and talent . She is fluent in many musical forms and instruments, in a way that I have seen in very , very few people . But one thing that sets her apart is that she is incredibly personable , consistent , and charming , so she provides a uniquely fun and engaging environment to any engagement . Pricing varies on the length and location of the lessons. I also teach 45 min and 30 min lessons.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I of course start with the basics if they are a beginner. Then I learn where their musical interests are and go from there in creating a unique curriculum for them

I got a BFA from University of Michigan in jazz music performance
