FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have standard prices for music lessons and weddings, as well as private parties. If you're looking for lessons, a solo violinist, or a quartet, just let me know and I can arrange the ensemble or lessons of your choice!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
While every student is different and their lessons and learning experience are tailored to the individual, there are a few things I make sure of for everyone. I ensure every student's instrument is set up properly by inspecting the instruments and advising where changes are needed. Every student will need some specific books and a shoulder rest, and I advise which ones are needed for the most thorough learning experience. There are studio policies which I review with each student and/or their parent and make sure to answer any questions at that time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Randy Cono received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from California Institute of the Arts and then a Master of Music from Manhattan School of Music in New York, where he studied violin privately with Erick Friedman (Heifetz protege), and chamber music with Mischa Schneider (Budapest String Quartet), Lillian Fuchs, Ida Kavafian and Artur Balsam.
