FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Please contact me for pricing as sometimes I am able to offer a reduced rate depending on the circumstance.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Unlike most teachers, I encourage all of my students to learn the guitar from a "classical perspective". Despite one's ability or experience level, I have been able to get every one of my students to read music. This has a very large payoff in the way that if you can read music, you can play any style of music.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I spent 4 years studying in the Guitar program at the University of California, Irvine. The University level program was very intense and extremely challenging where we were educated on the Music theory, Musicianship, the history of Western Music, Composition, as well as Fretboard theory, and Chord Construction. In the program we were required to perform music from multiple genres, solo as well as in chamber groups, on the guitar as well as on the Renaissance and Baroque lute. This was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life and has immensely prepared me to be a better teacher.
