I highly recommend GreenTree and Sidney!! Coordinating piano lessons and other artistic endeavors with Sidney was an effortlesss and pleasant task. He made it happen and initiated some remarkable lessons. GreenTree is on speed dial for our next visit to OC.

My 10 year old child has been taking private violin lessons for over two years. In that time we have cycled through several teachers in an attempt to find someone who could actually teach. She would put in the time practicing, yet continued to spin her wheels with a thousand different variations of “Twinkle, Twinkle.” (Pass the Tylenol.) Simply put, we were not seeing any notable results. Since she began lessons with Dimitry in February, she has progressed significantly. Her growth has shifted from completely stagnant to shockingly exponential under his tutelage. In only 3 months’ time, she has advanced from Suzuki Book 1 to a rather challenging piece. Last week she auditioned for and was accepted into the Los Angeles Youth Orchestra, a feat which would have been completely unattainable before starting with Dimitry a few months ago. Most importantly, my daughter now enjoys playing the violin and does so with confidence and passion. She appreciates Dimitry’s straightforward yet motivational style of instruction and looks forward to her weekly lessons. We highly recommend him to all those looking to take their musical studies to the next level.

My wife started our 15 year old daughter on violin lessons over Christmas break- since then she has gained confidence in her playing and the sound is much improved as well. She loves the duets that her teacher brings to play together, and it has taught her how to listen more and helped in school orchestra as well. Thank you Jamie!

My experience with Linda was very positive. Linda is a very patient, knowledgeable, and mild mannered teacher. She is clear and concise with direction and explains things so that my sons understood what they were doing right, what they needed to improvement on, and what the expectations were. Linda was punctual and ready at my sons lesson start times and had each of their sessions well planned out. She is dedicated to them learning piano and seeing them progress. I would not hesitate to refer her service to anyone who wants their child to learn music.

I signed up my 7 year old daughter for violin lessons through TakeLessons and Artem's profile seemed the most appealing to me. I wanted my child to study with the best teacher I could find. My daughter had never played violin before and Artem was able to get her to perform at his home studio class within two months. He is very friendly, knowledgable and knows how to explain difficult concepts to children and their parents. He does want one of the parents present during lessons and writing down important points, which I think is brilliant and helps me understand if my daughter is doing what she is supposed to do when she is practicing at home. He is also always readily available through text or email - I can always ask him about anything if we run into any problems or confusions.

Gina is a wonderful violin teacher! She is patient and kind and works at my pace; however, she pushes me past what I think are my limits. I was afraid that taking up the violin as an adult would be overwhelming, but Gina has made the whole learning process a joy! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring teacher with attention to detail.

My 10 yr old son has been taking private Violin lessons at home with Brandon for the last 4-5 months. My son enjoys learning from Brandon. He gives a lot of focus on getting the basics right, something which my son didn't learn in his group Violin classes at school.. My son finds him very funny and likes that Brandon gives him little tips like rhymes/beats which help him remember his notes better. There are times he comes a little late because of heavy traffic but he always sends a message and lets us know about it.We are looking forward to learning more from him.

My daughter needed a violin teacher and we found Grace on thumbtack. It was not only easy to set up the lessons but she's so professional and knowledgeable that I couldn't be more satisfied with her as a teacher. Her patience and well structured lessons have not only educated my daughter but have encouraged my daughter's desire to play the violin.

My 2 grandchildren started taking violin lessons with Chloe, ages 5 and 6, March of 2013. They have continued with her and have progressed very nicely. Chloe has a beautiful touch with small children. She is patient and cheerful, yet demanding as well. As small children and beginners, she stared them with a modified Suzuki method, introducing other beginning material as well. She is young and recently graduated, but I knew she was a natural born teacher when I realized after just a few lessons that she gave two different lessons to the children, adjusting and modifying her information and method according to the needs and strengths of each child. We have been very happy with her teaching and the children have developed a very positive attitude toward the violin.
