He is a great teacher. We spent time in the greenside bunkner and chipping and I know that my game will improve based on his methods. I look forward to taking more lessons from him.

He was okay in person. Had plans in place for me to improve my game. One bad thing was I scheduled a lesson with him. I showed up and he scheduled someone else the same time. Delayed my lesson another hour. No call and no text. I had no idea I was going to have to wait another hour, he let me hit some balls for free. By the time it came to my lesson I was tired, hands were sweaty,so I didn't hit the ball like I usually do, and I felt like it was a waste of his and my time.

Ric Moore is a born teacher/instructor. He has the ability to evaluate his student with personal, friendly, contact. His demeanor is one of patience, fitting his dialogue to the student level of understanding. His approach is a low-key without overwhelming the student with just the right amount of instruction they can absorb. His instruction is one on one to connect with the students ability to grasp the presented content. Having been a corporate trainer in three companies I can truly say, Ric Moore is in the right career position where he can add to each of his student's improvement and potentiality.

Great learning experience with Ric. Never understood the proper mechanics of a good golf swing until now. Just from my first lesson I have already gotten rid of my terrible slice.

I joined Chevy Chase and noticed people coming from all over to take lessons from Ric and one of the guys I was playing regularly with him recommended him to me. I sat down with Ric and explained to him my golf goals which were to get to scratch and beyond. He had played with me a few times and was familar enough with my game to make an assessment. I asked him if my goals were attainable and he said he thought they were with some changes and some hard work. We then made a plan and got to work. I had never had any formal lessons but had managed to play well enough to be a 3. He videotaped me so I could clearly see the flaws in my swing and fundamentals. Over a series of lessons, we made changes to my grip, stance, posture, hand position, ball position and swing path. Ric encouraged me to go to the range as much as possible and work on the changes and I did just that. There was some initial pain as I adapted to the changes and my handicap went up to 6. Within a few months the changes we made started to get more comfortable and things started to click and now all the changes are permanent. I have since shot my career low (-5) and my handicap just went to 1 which is the lowest it has ever been. Ric did a great job and worked with what I had and combined it with good fundamentals and I highly recommend him.

I've been playing golf since High School. For over 40 years! Unfortunately I never had lessons until I found Ric. Within a few lessons Ric comfortably took apart my swing technique and put it back together. That was a year ago. So far I've lost 8-10 strokes on my game. Now I understand it! Ric is an amazing teacher and a fantastic person. I highly recommend him.

I have been taking lessons with Ric for over a year. He is FANTASTIC. He is extremely knowledgeable and patient. I started out intimidated by the golf course but really wanting to learn. He definitely made the entire experience enjoyable. He is an amazing golfer and an equally amazing instructor. He has taught me to truly enjoy this great game. I cannot thank Ric enough for all that he has taught me. He is a one of a kind instructor. He is a definite 5+++++.

The help and advice I got from Ric was very helpful,so much so that the day after my lesson I went out and shot a 77 ! Something I have only done twice in the last 15 years. He is very thorough in his analysis and the language he uses is very easy to understand. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Great understanding of what drill was critical to improve my ball striking. Within minutes I was hitting the ball on the sweet spot with a nice little draw. Can't wait to bring my swing changes to the golf course.

For the past 20 years I have taken dozens of lessons from golf pros in an attempt to not only improve but enjoy the game more as well (I suppose they go hand in hand). Rarely did I take a second lesson from any one of them. They just weren't helpful. Then I saw a flyer about a golf clinic that Ric was doing near my home and I decided to give it one more try. EUREKA! Ric has a special gift for taking each person where are they skill-wise and incrementally improving their skills. By the end of the 6th lesson I gained confidence and competence. Whereas before I wouldn't play with others who I didn't know out of embarrassment, now I can play with other intermediate players. I'll never be on the pro tour because I don't have a lot of natural talent, but thanks to Ric I do enjoy the game and have the tips and tools I need to play. Without hesitation I recommend Ric, and so does everyone else I've met who have taken lessons from him. On top of being a top notch coach he's a genuinely nice human being.

Ric taught me to play golf. 4 of us took lessons on Sunday mornings. I have followed up with periodic private lessons. He is a magnificent teacher! He's helped my son (a good golfer) and his 8 year old son...both love and respect Ric as much as I do. He sees what you're doing wrong and results are immediate. I have recommended him to anyone who picks up a club. Aside from his amazing teaching ability, Ric has an absolutely charming and likable personality. He's much more than 5 stars!

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Below are five tips on how to get the most out of golf lessons: 1. Determine your needs 2. Find the right teacher 3. Set expectations 4. Focus on your hands 5. Practice, practice, practice Start by deciding what type of lesson you need. Do you need a range lesson or a playing lesson? If you want to improve your ball striking, erase swing faults, or add more power to your swing, take a range lesson. If you want to improve course management skills, take a playing lesson. Having decided on the lesson type, find a teacher that's right for you. Ask your buddies for suggestions. Or, thumb through old issues of golf magazines for names of teachers in your area. Make a short list of candidates, and then call each one. Ask about their teaching style. Does it work for you? Next, set expectations. Tell your teacher what you want to get out of your lessons. Chances are you'll need to take more than one lesson to achieve your ultimate goal. Be realistic about what you can accomplish. Don't expect to drop 7 strokes or hit 300-yard drives after one lesson. You'll probably get a lot of information thrown at you in one lesson. But lessons tend to boil down to one thing: how you use your hands and arms. Focus on how your arms and hands work and you'll defeat information overload. If you're taking a range lesson, practice what you were taught by your teaching pro. And don't get discouraged if you don't get perfect results after you first try something. It takes time and effort to eliminate a habit. So don't give up.
