I searched the internet high and low for a piano/guitar duo with vocals and stumbled upon Thumbtack. We hired Shea for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour, and it was the best decision we made in planning our special day! Shea was responsive, accommodating, professional, and punctual - and that voice!! <3 She provided us with a list of songs ahead of time for our review and even learned two new ones for the wedding processional. I cannot recommend her enough! Hire her, now!
Emo is an awesome artist he is patient and understand and knows when to push you to your very limit. I shopped around for voice coaches for weeks before I settled with Emo anyone reading this don’t look at anyone else. Go see Emo he’s laidback patient and he his lessons are fun.
Summer is an amazing theory teacher in so many ways! She's incredibly professional, patient, intuitive, and understanding and has the ability to teach to your personal learning style. Loved every minute of working with her, and it's helped advance my own understanding of music, both with guitar and singing, in a way that has allowed me to make leaps and bounds in my own songwriting as well as learning other music styles. Hire her, right this very minute!
I have taken music lessons from several musicians who have always told me to work the minor pet atomic scales. The difference I discovered with Savage Music is that the lessons were geared to learning how to play overall and with other musicians. Savage played with me and opened the the roots of the music, the rhythms and timings, especially the base notes to follow the melodies on guitar. I was given my first song to play and perform the first day and another each week in progression. You start feeling what he is teaching. Thanks Lou. See you soon.
I've been taking guitar lessons with Kimberly since the beginning of 2011. At the time I'd had several years of lessons using a traditional method on acoustic guitar and was looking for a teacher who could help me focus on electric blues rock and move me beyond my intermediate skill level. Kimberly has a real focus on and talent for teaching. My lessons are tailored to meet my interests. A large part of the lesson is devoted to learning her method for blues soloing--at least 5 approaches to improvisation and comping. After several years, I've come to see how these approaches interweave, complement each other and have become an intuitive part of my musical vocabulary. Also, because I expressed an interest, part of the lesson involves sight reading, learning blues and jazz theory, developing rhythmic playing sense, and learning a few favorite solos. Kimberly has an amazing ability to tab out and teach any song you give her. Which leads to the best part--after 6 months I was invited to play with one of her ensemble classes. While I was absolutely petrified with fear at the beginning, this has turned into one of the highlights of my week every week. It is just downright fun! It's a safe and forgiving environment where you can make mistakes and learn, or try things out that might flop, or turn into something cool. Every teacher and guitar magazine article all point to the need to play with other musicians to develop your skills and this is where Kimberly Allison really delivers. I feel that I could now sit in with other musicians and contribute. I give my highest recommendation for taking lessons with Kimberly.
Chris is a wonderful guitar/music teacher and has inspired my daughter's beginning guitar playing. She really looks forward to each lesson and they share a mutual love of music.
Skip was hired for our 60th Anniversary luncheon. He was on time, very personable and eager to please. His music was great. We left a lot of the music selection up to him and it was "right on". He played the saxophone, guitar and sang. His music level was perfect. I would highly recommend Skip for your next event.
Ron was very professional. Showed up on time and played beautifully! He can play many types of music. Even though we had him play for our mother's 90th birthday, he can play everything from swing, Latin, jazz, modern, pop, and rock 'n roll. A plus is that he sings very well, too. Highly recommend.
We had the pleasure of having Steve as my son’s guitar teacher for over five years and I cannot say enough good things about him. Not only is Steve an incredibly talented musician, he truly is an excellent teacher. He is kind and patient, offering encouragement and positive feedback along the way. Steve is also great at customizing the lesson to suit the student. My son especially liked that Steve asked him for suggestions of songs he would like to learn. As a result, his lessons were perfectly balanced with the fundamentals, along with music/songs my son was interested in. In addition, Steve does not miss an opportunity to offer up a challenge and take the student to the next level by introducing a new artist or song, all the while keeping it interesting and relevant. We were amazed at the progress my son made under Steve’s instruction. You will not be disappointed with Steve as your guitar teacher!
AHKXLRY has an amazing ear for mixing and mastering. He hears and adds subtle additions when needed that help bring out the most in the your music. His turn around time is amazing. And you can’t overlook the amount of talent that AHKXLRY has as a musicians as well as the musicians he works with in the studio.
Steve is the best of both worlds - a great teacher and performer. He is very patient and knowledgeable. I had a hard time with rhythm and musicality. His methods such as consistency at counting out loud had helped me a lot. Also he has encouraged me to be expressive when it comes to musicality. I was not a beginner but his patience and dedication would definitely be great for beginners as well as other levels and different ages. I truly enjoy lessons with him and I came to love music more and more through these lessons. He is also a pro in pop style! :)
Gil's knowledge of jazz/blues chords and arrangements is extensive, and very unique. Gil is a patient and kind teacher, and in my opinion, a real bargain for his students. I have enjoyed playing guitar with Gil for several years, and you will too. Brian Housley, Palm Springs, CA
I am a classical musician and am in the process of putting together a cd collection of my past recitals, which are all on cassette tape. I needed the cassettes transferred to digital and thought it would be easy to find a professional to do this locally (in Palm Sorings). Not so! However, I came across Randy 'S name online and traveled to Hemet to work on the digital recording and I and so glad I did! Randy is a true artist at all things electronic, I especially appreciated his "musical ears" as we were able to agree on certain levels that were appropriate to the compositions. Skilled, talented and affordable, I highly recommend Randy for any recording need. Bravo! Dr. Kenneth Moses, Palm Springs, CA Juilliard Conservatory Eastman School of Music Baylor University
Very knowledgeable guitar instructor.
Jazzy is not only an amazing artist but a wonderful and kind woman to work with and be around. Her face painting has won more than a few awards and it is easy to see why. There has never been a painting of hers that made me wonder "what is that?" I highly recommend Jazzy to anyone looking for a face painter.
PhatX (Brian Cochran) I find his work to be very professional, dependable and knowledgeable. I've used him several times before, one event on, May 06, 2013 for Bishop Rhone's Inaugural Banquet and wedding receptions. He has all the right equipment and stays updated on songs/artists. Love his work!!!
J. is so unique and talented. I loved every bit of his performance style and appreciate his professionalism. I will hire again. He is a must have for your next event!!!
I teach piano, voice, violin and cello lessons in a relaxed but professional atmosphere. My home studio is warm and inviting; you must love little dogs! They love kids and people in general! I teach kids of all ages, teens and adults how to read treble and bass clef, play piano, sing, play drum rhythms, or play the violin or cello. Music is healing and fun! It's a great tool to build a child's self- esteem. I have been teaching all styles of piano and voice for 40 years, including traditional music reading, rhythms, fingering for piano, and techniques for great position, pitch and tone on stringed instruments like violin and cello.
