I wanted to leave a message to thank Karen Olsen (and thumbtack as a 1st time user) for her Great work on my home. Your home is part of your family and it takes a lot to make sure you have someone that you can feel comfortable with. Our correspondences before she came was clear, professional and accommodating. She was responsive and courteous but not invasive. She sent a message to let me know she was on the way and came at our agreed time. Her personality was awesome and one of the things we liked best about Karen was her willingness to make sure we were satisfied. She got right to work and did a wonderful job. She was forthcoming and said if there was something we missed or would like done on the next visit, to please let her know. This turned out better than we expected and we look forward to using her services in the future.
A few weeks ago I came to a realization that my birthday was soon approaching, I wanted to give myself a gift.....the gift was to UnStuff my Life. I wanted to enjoy the last stage of life without anxiety after collecting 35 years of clutter. I wanted to be able to spend my days at home in a relaxed and carefree environment. I was overwhelmed with the job of uncluttering and faced the fact that I could not do this big job alone. I went to the Thumbtack website and did a search on home organizers. I received responses and did interviews over the phone. I was very impressed with the responses given to me by Deborah Smith so I felt that I did not need a face to face interview. My home is located about 50 minutes from her home so I was fearful that she would not accept the job. I held my breath until she made an appointment to assess and begin the task if we were a fit.....phew! Now I can relax. Deborah help me choose items to purge, sort and find new homes for those items. It can be very emotional for the homeowner to purge because of the memories associated with the item. Deborah taught me some little techniques to be able to let go. I equated her job to that of a psychologist where she analyzed, worked with my insecurity and made subtle suggestions when I was in a quandary about keeping or purging. She taught me to prioritize and to realize that it is the memory and not the item itself. We were able to work in harmony with each other so the process became much easier and pleasant. I know that I am not perfect, therefore, I plan to have Deborah revisit at times to help with a quick tune-up.
This is long over-due and much deserved. Jennifer, Professional Organizer and owner of ProOrg, is intelligent, hardworking & very resourceful. She had wonderful suggestions for every aspect of my organizing project. She managed my apartment relocation to SF Bay Area like a charm and I will be utilizing her again for organizing services for my small business. Her honest, direct approach alleviated any distractions and misunderstandings that often accompany a project of this nature. I highly recommend ProOrg.

I have worked with another organizer and had a very bad experience. Her helper was great but when the owner came she was terrible. I was very careful when hiring my next organizer and went through a couple others before finding Adjusting Space. Finally a professional who works hard and doesn't leave a mess at the end of the day even though the job is not complete. She schedules and shows up when she says she will and does a great job. I am very pleased with what we have accomplished so far, she is coming back tomorrow to work on a very long project. I will be hiring her for more projects, I have a list that she can do and will do.
I highly recommend Fredy for any of your handyman needs. I hired him for a small drywall project but i could see he had many skills so I had him to numerous projects: wood floor sanding and staining, crown moulding and baseboard install, framing, wallpaper, plumbing, welding, tile repair, painting, furniture building, building a fence, and finish carpentry. I am probably missing some things! I worked with numerous other tradesman before I found Fredy on Thumbtack, and I found the quality and reliability of others slipped over time, but not Fredy! He continued to maintain a high level of customer service throughout the numerous projects. He always asks if I'm happy, and replies by saying "I'm not happy if you're not happy!" And I could tell he meant it. I also found his level of ethics to be very high and his pricing very fair. He is an upbeat personality which is also a pleasure to work with. I have known Evie Werner for over 5 years now and have used both her pet sitting/walking and organizing services. Evie is the biggest animal lover I have ever know and would do (and has!) done most anything to spare an animal. Her organization skills are exceptional and no matter what the job, Evie can get it done. Renu is a caring, determined and passionate interior designer. She converted my ‘house' into ‘home’ in no time. Renu listened, payed attention to details, and recognized my design taste immediately. She did my whole home, that is, bedroom, kitchen, living room, balcony - basically everything. Additionally, working with Renu, I got educated in various things about interior designing, de-cluttering, organizing home, where to do shopping for good things for excellent price.
