He worked all day and returned the following day with additional workers to continue digging the trench . On the final day he arrived with 2 plumbers and together they worked to complete the job . I did 42 years in the field at att I know when a craftsman takes pride in his work. Today that is rare … usually contactors are in a hurry to get to the next job . Not Sal and his crew , they made sure the drop and the angles were spot on . ( always double checking with a level. ) He also would place yellow safety tape around the perimeter of the open trench at the end of each day .
