Introduction: The Clifford Lamb approach is innovative and effective. Beginners learn to function and understand music from the standpoint of accuracy and dynamics as they develop an understanding of classical, jazz and pop from an harmonic and melodic perspective drawn from Theory studies. Students gradually learn to read, play and improvise their favorite Jazz, Pop and Blues tunes and/or learn classical music with a harmonic perspective as their theoretical knowledge deepens. Classes range from very beginner to Bachelor Degree level instruction in Classical, Jazz and Pop Piano performance, Composition and Arranging. For the first lesson, the student will receive a comprehensive evaluation of their musicianship, followed by an extensive recommended lesson plan. Clifford Lamb is an internationally renowned Pianist with extensive record discography as a Jazz Composer-Pianist and recording artist. His supporting cast features some of greatest players in jazz history, including Buster Williams, Cindy Santana Blackman, Nicholas Payton, and Grammy award winning Producer Jeffrey Weber.

Cliff is a GREAT piano teacher! I'm just beginning to play at the ripe old age of #?. Even though it is somewhat painful to be a beginner I guess you have to start somewhere. But Cliff makes the experience fun and I do learn. The lessons are at my home and if he is running late he calls. If I need to reschedule he accommodates. He makes certain you are mastering the lessons and theory. It's been over 6 weeks since I've started and I'm reading music and starting to get it...not bad for an old guy. Really like Cliff, you will too.

Clifford is a highly-accomplished musician and excellent teacher. I was classically-trained growing up but had always wanted to learn jazz piano. When I started lessons with Clifford, I was definitely rusty in the fundamentals, and he has been doing an excellent job at shoring up my weak points while slowly building up my skills in the jazz techniques. He is very patient and really wants his students to succeed; one example of this is that even though our lessons are supposed to be an hour, we often go over time chatting about all sorts of different aspects of jazz. He plays gigs regularly so the schedule can shift over time, but he is very accommodating and responsive when this might occur.
