Introduction: Greetings! I bring a diverse and enriching background to my role as a professional tutor. Originally from Colombia, I earned a bachelor’s degree in physics and engineering and contributed to academia as a teacher’s assistant, research assistant, and researcher at The National University of Colombia. Following my move to Michigan twelve years ago, I immersed myself in administrative roles and served as a writer for a Latino magazine. My journey led me to the Bay Area, where I ventured into marketing before redirecting my skills toward noble causes. Working for an environmentally friendly company, I traversed northern California, building and maintaining customer relationships. With a lifelong passion for dance, I possess expertise in break dance, belly dance, hip-hop, merengue, and Colombian salsa. My collaboration with local artists and dance groups adds a creative dimension to my diverse skill set. In the realm of education, I've taught science, Spanish, and grace-and-courtesy in Montessori Schools for two years. My commitment to continuous learning is reflected in courses in psychology, early childhood education, leadership in education, and school operations and administration. I firmly believe in the transformative power of education and aspire to uplift the underserved and less privileged. Currently, I serve as a Spanish teacher for high school, concurrently pursuing double master’s degrees in education and arts. My teaching experience spans a spectrum, including math (Algebra 1 to Precalculus), Physics, and Spanish from introductory to AP (Advanced Placement) levels in a preparatory school. As a Creative Dance teacher, I understand the profound impact of body movement on students’ emotional, mental, and physical well-being. Beyond academia, my passion lies in helping people discover their inner talents. I view teaching as an opportunity to inspire and challenge students. In my leisure, I engage in Tai Chi, yoga, reading, and enjoy comedies and science fiction movies. Exploring parks, museums, and libraries fuels my curiosity. My commitment extends to empowering at-risk communities, advocating for our planet's health, and supporting our homeless brothers and sisters. Join me in this journey of education, inspiration, and positive impact on individuals and communities.

Paula was fun to work with. I learned basic vocabulary and grammar for my introduction to Spanish class. I recommend her for your Spanish lessons.
