Karina and Al are not only excellent musicians, but complete professionals. Karina is so patient with our children. She maintains a good balance of both challenging and encouraging them. Our children our thriving over the last 6 months of lessons with Karina.

I have had other music teachers before, but no one as passionate and knowledgeable as Karina. Karina is so passionate about teaching and is always so joyful. I tend to be bad at practicing, but Karina has made it so easy with weekly plans and breakdowns to help take away all excuses and make it easy for me to build good habits. I can already see a difference in my voice and piano playing. She also is really great at personalizing the lessons to where I am at, and where I want to be vocally. I highly recommend them to anyone any age group or skill level!

Nina (drums, bass guitar, vocals, violin early on) & Chet (guitar & vocals), now 18 and 16, love being musicians, largely because Al and Karina have been their outstanding music teachers for more than 8 years, mostly via remote lessons. They continue to grow in skill and confidence with each of their instruments and we owe that to North County Music! We highly recommend Al and Karina, whether you're new to music, or a veteran musician/vocalist.

Al is a talented teacher and truly invested in helping students grow musically. His lessons are dynamic, enjoyable, and with the right level of challenge to ensure I make progress. He is upbeat, punctual and always kind. I look forward to our weekly lessons because I feel I can do this. In addition to our online lessons, Al records short videos of him going over the new material learned at the lessons. His thoughtful approach is unique and works very well. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is $40 for 1 hour $25 for 30 min We only receive payment online through Paypal, Venmo or Google Pay. No refunds will be given. If a lesson is missed a make-up will be scheduled to ensure you receive the service paid for.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will take some time at the beginning of the first lesson to assess the students musical level in order to start or continue their musical education based on their personal needs and goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
18 years of teaching and performing experience. Musical Education received at Musicians Institute Los Angeles.
