We chose Emo to work with my 11 year old daughter via Skype for voice lessons. She was really nervous to have her very first voice lesson over Skype, and with a stranger, but Emo quickly put her at ease. He’s patient, encouraging, positive, and also really uses the 30 minutes fully. He wasn’t the cheapest vocal coach to respond to my thumbtack but he really knows what he’s doing and maximizes the 30 minute lesson. My daughter is really happy with him as her teacher and so am I!

I highly recommend GreenTree and Sidney!! Coordinating piano lessons and other artistic endeavors with Sidney was an effortlesss and pleasant task. He made it happen and initiated some remarkable lessons. GreenTree is on speed dial for our next visit to OC.

Joey has been instructing my son in alto, baritone and tenor sax for four years. He is a thoughtful, talented, professional and dedicated teacher. He understands his students needs and tailors his lessons to suit them. With regular practice and excellent coaching my sons playing has improved tremendously. I would highly recommend Joey to anyone considering music lessons - youth or adult.

Learning under Ian was a fantastic experience. He taught me how to play "Lean on Me" and "My Type" by Saint Motel in just two hours. I had an incredible time in my sessions and would recommend his services to anyone.

My daughter has been seeing David for flute lessons for a little over a year now. She has learned so much from David from fingering technique, to breathing control, to just giving her that confidence she needs knowing that she is learning and doing better every time she sees him. I cannot be more impressed with what and how he has been teaching her! When she has exceeded what he has been teaching her David will give her a harder lesson to work on.

I enjoy teaching at B&H because the students and I have a private studio with air conditioning. I don't have to dodge traffic jams on the 5 or the 78 which cause delay in the schedule. There is plenty of parking in back of the store and the parents can do errands while the kids have a music lesson. If the students need reeds or new method books, the parents can purchase everything at the store. I teach all ages and all levels and I believe everyone can achieve on a musical instrument. Anna is a very passionate and talented teacher and musician. After attending a recent recital, I was very impressed with how well her students play and with how she interacts and teaches them. My daughter is too young for lessons currently, but I am looking forward to the day when Anna can become her teacher.

I have been playing guitar for over 20 years, so I was looking for a teacher that could build onto what I already knew. Alan was able to show me new techniques and teach me about jazz guitar. Thanks Alan!!

Chris is an incredible musician and human being with whom I have the privilege to work with regularly. His knowledge in music is as deep as it is broad, and his skill on both the saxophone and keys is impressive. We've performed on several tours together, and we collaborate in the studio fairly often as well - another area where he has great expertise. I highly recommend Chris for your musical needs!!

About

My name is Benjamin Rodriguez. I am an expert music teacher specializing in teaching flute, clarinet, alto and tenor saxophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone horn (euphonium), tuba, violin, cello, piano, organ and synthesizer. I also specialize in both classical and contemporary popular music. I have been a professional music teacher since 1989 and have taught in various school districts throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties. I have been directing school bands and orchestras to superior ratings at music festivals and regional competitions. My specialty is teaching elementary school, middle school, and high school age students. I believe that learning the basic fundamentals of music, such as scales, arpeggios, and method studies are at the core of guiding my students to becoming professional musicians themselves. Many of my students have gone on to become leaders on their own musical field, musical projects, music productions and ensemble groups, not only at a teaching level but also at a performance and professional level as well.
