Stephan was a joy. The tuning went smoothly and I had my first piano lesson immediately following it. His breadth of knowledge is very impressive and his sensitivity to the gaps in mine made me feel very comfortable and helped with my own particular learning curve. I would highly recommend Stephan as a tuner and a teacher...

I requested singing lessons and received 6 quotes rangers big from $36/hr to $100/hr. I eliminated 3 of them just based on the message they wrote to me and their reviews or lack there of. My passion is indie rock and Jan does not fit the profile of a rocker and she was vocally trained as an opera singer. However, her reviews were positive, she was priced in the middle, her message to me was pertinent and once I called and spoke to her I was sold. I didn't bother contacting the other two quotes I was interested in. Needless to say, my hunch was right and I had my first lesson last week. It went incredibly well. She amazed me. I am a song writer wanting to improve my vocals so I can work indecent from hiring a singer. I showed he some of my recorded originals and within seconds she knew what I had to improve to make my voice fit the song better. We changed the key a whole step, she had me pronounce some of the words differently and she gave input in to what could improve for the song instrumentally. She started showing me current artists and what I could take from their particular songs to inspire some rhythmic changes. she had suggestions on where to go and present my music to sale for commercial/tv/advertising. She had big picture advice on where to focus my energies. I couldn't believe what we packed in to a one hour rehearsal. She sat at her piano and taught me vocal exercises and explained to me how I could improve on them with what I call tricks to break certain bad habits I have formed. I can't wait to see her next week. She can totally rock!!!

I have had three lessons with Rickie so far and she has completely changed the way I approach singing. She breaks down the fundamentals and gives you a solid foundation on which you can continuously expand. She is incredibly encouraging and is amazing to work with. I have found my vocal coach. :)

We decided to chose Brian for my teenage daughter's beginning guitar lessons due to his willingness to teach her the type of songs that she wanted. Right away he connected with her and her music. He taught her the theory behind playing guitar as well as teaching her the tricks and skills of how to play the guitar. His practices were enjoyable and not just rote. She learned very quickly and therefore stayed excited about learning. Brian was always very complementary and encouraging. Brian also helped us buy useful equipment like a tuner, etc. She always felt safe and comfortable. We would highly recommend Brian as a guitar teacher.

After almost about... I dunno, what is it, 3 or 4 years of talking Amazing Voice Lessons? Anyway, after about that many years or so, I gotta say that these lessons really HAVE improved my singing a lot. Not only has it helped my singing and performance on stage, but it's also helped my self-esteem and enabled me to relax and just let my hair down. I hope to keep continuing these lessons for as long as I can because trust me, AVL is a gift that just keeps on giving.

For the vocal lessons, I learned how to use my diaphragm, also I’m learning different styles of singing with my voice. I can now use my voice to go to alto and to mezzo soprano to soprano. I always try to practice my vocal exercises she gives me and the songs that we work on in the lessons. The exercizes are helping my technique improve daily. April is a teacher that pushes you to practice and work hard to be a strong singer. She pushes me but I’m improving at the same time. I feel she wants me to be successful as a singer. She makes me feel like I can do it!

Michael, from my first lesson was so attentive to what I wanted to learn. Kind of in passing, I told him that I loved to sing but was afraid to so he really coaxed me to sing along to all the guitar songs I was learning (I really do not think that any other guitar teacher would have bothered...like "not my job". But, not Michael, he took that on as his job because he recognized that it was important to me). Likewise, when I would show an interest in a particular type of music (i.e. I like acoustic and more mellow, verging on country even), he found songs like that for me and he taught me my songs I had picked even though I doubt that they would have been his picks. In summary, he wanted me to relate to and enjoy the music; the lessons are all about what I want to get out of them...with professional guidance along the way as well. The other thing I want to definitely mention is that, Michael is top-knotch, professional and KNOWS music. He encouraged me to not only learn songs to play but to understand the theory of the music in those songs. I feel very proficient in music theory after taking classes with Michael. I not only play the stuff but I "get it." I understand the technical theory involved. I really think that this is something not every guitar teacher brings to the table or encourages. Many just do not know it! With Michael, we can move from guitar to piano so that he can illustrate something about chords in a key or the difference between major, minor, dominant and diminished chords. Bottom line, I have fun during my lesson but I learn so much more than memorizing chord shapes on the guitar. And, when I play and sing a song...well, it really feels great! Honestly, he is the BEST! He just cares so much about you learning all you can regarding music and he knows how to teach it so that you get to understand what can at first seem so unfamiliar. Michael has the holistic approach. He makes music familiar, logical, relatable and, most of all, Enjoyable. As his student, thumbs-up!

Howard Richman is not a piano teacher...he is a LIFE CHANGER. I went to him to learn piano...but realized that the lessons I learned studying piano with the MASTER were not merely lessons in music....but lessons that helped me see outside the paradigm in all areas of my life. Often, as adults, we "come back" to our music...to study what we have been "wanting to get back to" for years. I learned that this is often a time of great change and evolution for us personally. Howard, being so intuitive, knows how to tune in to each individual's needs.... and empower them to EMPOWER themselves. He is a BRILLIANT pianist, composer and master teacher. I've watched him perform miracles with young children who struggled with other teachers who simply wanted to teach "by the book." Howard is always able to find your inner talent and abilities, possibly that are even unknown to you...and he can creatively, intuitively and intelligently create a course of action that will leave you amazed! That's why you are reading SO many wonderful comments here about him. If you are lucky enough to get to study with Howard, it will change your life!...and btw, I can now play a mean Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata"....Thank you for everything you taught me Howard Richman! Tara is, simply put, wonderful. I went in with zero experience in the way of singing. She had me carrying a tune in less than a month! She tailors every lesson to you on the fly, encourages you to draw from your own tastes in music, breaks down lessons in ways that are easy to take on and understand, and (most imporrantly in my mind) she does it all while still being fun to talk to! Lessons have a way of feeling more like hanging out than actual work/practice. I would highly recommend taking lessons from her if you can!

I have worked with Bob on various levels. First, Bob provided me with private guitar lessons for several years. Bob made the learning experience fun and enjoyable. I was able to learn and play the kind of music that I wanted to play. Bob is also very patience (staying with me for so many years is a true testament to this!). My youngest son Michael also took private guitar lessons from Bob. On a more professional level, Bob and his band performed at my oldest son's (Bobby) wedding receipion. It was a "blast" with all of the guests dancing and singing. I actually received a call years later from an attending guest asking for Bob's contact information for their wedding reception (obviously they had very fond memories of the event and Bob's music). If and when my 2 remaining kids get married, I can guaranty Bob will be going the music. He makes an event a real party!!!

I have been taking piano lessons with Felix for 2 years now. I am very pleased with the quality and productivity of each lesson. Felix is very encouraging and adapting to student's needs. He provides an atmosphere of positive interaction with his students. I always leave inspired to work on the material we go over every week. The experience Felix has and passes down with each lesson is invaluable to anyone who sincerely wants to progress their abilities at the piano.

My older daughter had some moderate success with a few teachers and then began to play really, really well once she started with Suzan. She has studied with her for nearly 20 years now and amazes people with her ability. My younger daughter who struggles with dyslexia found a whole new world through Suzan's patient and supportive teaching style. It has really fostered a love of music. Both of my daughters adore Suzan as a teacher, role model and source of inspiration. I feel that Suzan has been such a gift. She's a really lovely soul.
