I took drawing lessons with Celia when I was in high school years ago. She really helped me improve my composition, sketching, and shading techniques, leading to more realistic and refined pictures. My parents were also happy because we added a bunch more art decor for the house! Celia is a great person all-around, and an amazing artist. I highly recommend her!
My name is Gaia, I'm an art student who took weekly private drawing and painting lessons with artist Reza. My time with Reza has been a very valuable experience for my blossoming career in the arts. For anyone considering to take private lessons I just want to share the benefits that you won't have in a regular classroom: • one on one interaction. • experiencing detailed demonstrations of first hand execution of every project by the teacher. • personalized instruction allows you to focus on your deficiencies and how to improve on them. Reza is a very talented artist, professional and expert of technique he is adept at instructing every level from beginners to advanced. I found it especially valuable to learn his classical training of painting.
After taking lesson, my drawing skills definitely more solid and better than before. I would love to take more class with Magic station in the future.
My daughter has started lesson almost a month now and she is enjoying every lesson with Sayaka. Sayaka is patient and professional. We very lucky to have her teaching our daughter.
My daughter is learning drawing and painting from Deepa and it has been an amazing experience. She has gone from knowing nothing about lighting and perspective to being able to do realistic still lifes that shock my friends to see were drawn by an eight-year old. Highly recommend her class.
Shelley has taught my 2 kids for 3 years since they were 3 and 5 years old. She is very talented in every kind of media. This was a fantastic opportunity for them to get creative at young age. She teaches with many kinds of mediums including clay, pastels, watercolor, charcoal, face painting, acrylic, balloons, and crafts etc. and introduced new project and theme every week. My kids have fun and a great learning experience. They are looking forward to their art lesson. They never get bored to learn with Ms. Shelley every week. She is kind, nice, funny, always smiling, and understanding. My kids have one hour lesson per week. After each lesson, Shelley always told me what they had accomplished their artwork that week. Sometimes, she assigned a light homework and my kids love to show her what they did during the week. My daughter enjoys the art lessons. She got award from Santa Clara County Young Artist showcase 2013. Her artwork will be displayed permanently at Santa Clara County Office of Education. We are so pleased with Shelley's teaching ability and professionalism and we highly recommend her as an art teacher to your kids or anyone who is interested in art and would like to improve the skills.
Bill is very intuitive and able to tailor the lesson to the needs of the student. He is proficient in many different mediums and allows the student to chose the medium as well as the subject matter. He gently guides the process, offers advice when asked and is able to offer constructive criticism and suggestions for improvement along the way. He is an excellent teacher.
Deborah is a talented, and passionate art teacher. She really loves teaching kids art. She taught my son how to draw and he loves drawing now. I highly recommend her as an art teacher. She also teaches adults.
I love going to my art class with Shelley! She is extremely talented in all genres and mixed medias. She has taught me drawing techniques and watercolor painting all at a quality level. I learn so much and have progressed quickly in these areas I love to explore. I can recommend her highly.
Lucca is an absolutely incredible artist, person, and teacher. I had limited drawing and painting skills, and she taught me so much! I'm considering hiring her more!
Over the last year I have had the fortunate experience of working with Vita though the Cosmic KIDS art education program. Vita has consistently presented professionalism, innovation and creative vision in her role as an art educator at ASEP's after-school enrichment program. Every lesson that Vita teaches has clear intentions and learning goals for her students. Vita's ability to facilitate positive classroom management practices has been especially impressive to our team as she is able to meet the specific needs and learning styles of her students. On top of these positive experiences I appreciate Vita's flexibility as she is willing to adjust her schedule or classroom location in situations where teamwork is needed most. After one year of ASEP's partnership with Cosmic KIDS our organization has decided to expand Vita's role so more students in our community will have access the impressive curriculum that Cosmic KIDS offers. I look forward to continuing ASEP's partnership with Cosmic KIDS into the 16-17 school year and beyond!
Paul Wood from Young At Art contacted me within hours, and was very prompt in communicating and answering all our questions. We were enrolled for art lessons within days.
My third grader and myself have taken art lessons in the past with Sneha and I truely recommend her. Sneha is very personable, patient and skilled. She not only teaches you painting techniques but also celebrates your inner creativity. We have created gorgeous paintings while having fun in a relaxed atmosphere. I have proudly displayed our paintings on a gallery wall in our home :) Sign-up for her classes and get inspired!
I have a lifetime of serious art training and can actually draw, in a world where these days, everyone thinks they can't, and so no one tries any more, not even very many artists. I have an MFA from NYU and also studied art at Columbia, Parsons, the New School, the professional atelier of a prominent New York artist, and the San Francisco Art Institute. I studied art all over New York and Italy and France. I've spent my entire life drawing and painting. I have enough internal mastery of my craft to constantly innovate and pioneer new ideas all based on a solid foundation. I really love helping others discover the enormous potential we all have inside ourselves. I love offering tools that other people will take and use in their own ways to create their own art.
Very patient and friendly young man. My 6 year old daughter loved her first lesson and already looking forward to the next. Glad to have found him.

A Colorful Mind Drawing Studio is a relaxing and nurturing environment that is designed to help children ages 4 and older learn to create, focus, and express themselves. Through age-appropriate projects and structured instructions, we help every child interpret information in his/her own unique way, without judgment or competition. This fosters imagination, creativity, and the type of adaptive and dynamic thinking that is critical for success in both life and academic endeavors.
I've been drawing, sketching, painting and sculpting since I was old enough to hold a pencil. My work has been exhibited in galleries, given awards, and some years ago, I was privately mentored by an admissions officer (and successful fine artist) from the Cooper Union School of Art. But none of that really matters! Let's get together and draw, paint, or sculpt. I'll help you understand the pros, cons, and nuances of different media; how to look at your subjects as an artist; how to plan your compositions -- it all depends on what you want to learn. Let's have some fun.
I offer birth support. I am a labor doula, and can assist with postpartum care for those who are without family/community support. I am trained at comfort measures for childbirth and am 24/7 support once labor starts up. I also am trained to do placenta encapsulation as well. I love supporting women and families during pregnancy and birth!
I am highly personable and sensitive to the needs of my students allowing me to adapt my teaching methods in a way that is personal, meaningful and allows my ideas to connect in a strong way. I like watching the transformation process in my students. Witnessing the growth and satisfaction my students get in seeing instant results in their work as their confidence grows bring me great sense of satisfaction.
