Been taking lessons from Linda for the past two+ years; have learned a lot, including reading some music in both standard notation and tablature. She is talented in teaching middle-aged folks such as myself, and younger ones alike. Always friendly, patient, and reliable. I am learning to play an electric guitar, and plan to continue my studies with Linda as my teacher.Sep 30, 2018
Can’t recommend Mage Music enough, she has been incredibly responsive and punctual throughout the entire process, reaching out to me and also being ready exactly at the given time. The lessons themselves are very well structured and she has a talent for explaining more complex topics and clarifying anything a student might have questions. Overall five out of five star experience.Sep 30, 2019Verified
Mage is very professional and friendly. She explains, demonstrates and observes me playing. Mage is also very good at answering my questions. She assigns weekly exercises and follows up at the next lesson. I’m very pleased!Aug 28, 2019Verified
Mage has been very professional and patient. I got a lot out of the lessons and enjoyed taking them online. I had to take a break but looking forward to resuming soon.Nov 6, 2019Verified
Mage is great! I studied guitar/voice with her and really valued the entire experience. I was a returning player to my instrument and Mage gave me a boost of confidence to re-dedicate myself to the instrument. Since she knows her stuff, it was very fruitful to study under her and get acquainted with the terminology and a bit of history for the singing art. I really value the relationship built with Mage and do expect to return to herMay 24, 2019
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Lessons are available in durations of 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour, and sometimes longer. Most students take one lesson per week. You may purchase one initial lesson, and if you would like to continue with lessons you will be billed on a monthly basis. Most months contain 4 lessons, but some have 5—the monthly rate is the same, so every now and then you may receive a free lesson! A 30-minute FREE device setup consultation is given to students who sign up for online lessons (live through FaceTime, Skype, Hangouts, Zoom, etc.).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to talk to parents and students before starting the lessons. I may ask questions such as if the student has taken lessons before, how much experience on the instrument he/she has, and what his/her goals are with lessons and musical growth. It is important for me to make sure that the lessons are a good fit for everyone–communication and rapport are both key!
