Okay, wow! Would give 6 stars if I could!
From the first message to the actual shoot day, to the online photo gallery and edits- Michelle was amazing to work with.
So here is my story...
I recently got engaged (thank you for your congratulatory I can feel it from here) and it was a surprise engagement. I currently live in the LA county area, and we (fiance) planned a weekend get-away in Paso Robles, CA. I figured this would be a great opportunity to pop the big question. I schedule a wine tour and dinner at Justin Winery. I worked with two amazing women during this whole process, Michelle being one of them.
We spoke many days leading up to the event- via email, text, and phone calls. We tried to formulate a plan and come up with an elaborate story as to how and why my fiance and I had some crazy lady taking "random" photos of us. So after the winery coordination was done, Michelle came up with the idea of being a "Wine Blogger" and she was doing a photo-shoot at the vineyard. We were probably 1 of like 8 people there at the time, so we had to have a game plan, and it executed perfectly!
Michelle, a couple of days before the event was able to head to the vineyard (which was a pretty far drive for her) to do some reconnaissance of the landscape, check how the lighting would be at the specific time of day, and also link up with other personnel at the vineyard in prep for this mission (yes we planned this like a military OP, and it was perfect). Everyone I was working with had to be on the same page so we could keep the element of surprise- and Michelle helped with a lot of this.
Once, my girlfriend (now fiance) and I arrived the mission was now in motion. We sat down, had a bottle of wine to relax and cool down. In my peripherals, I could see Michelle "doin her thang!" snapping pictures left and right of the landscape, people and wildlife. It was not awkward at all, she mingled with a little bit of everyone that was present in the vineyard (cause she was a "wine blogger" remember) and did not give us ALL the attention, because would have blown her cover and the mission would have been a disaster. But she was able to get some great candid shots of us just being us. After, my girlfriend and I were taking to another location (still at Justin) to be given a "free tour". Meanwhile, Michelle had left before us to get staged in our private room where I would do the actually proposal. She caught great photos in this underground cave (no natural lighting at all) and she KILLED IT! Later, she took us around and through the vineyard for a quick photo sesh. She brought additional gear (blanket, basket, other small props etc) to give it an added boost. Michelle directed, positioned, and captured amazing moments.
Post, engagement weekend we have still been speaking via text/email about the photos. The digital library is a great place for my fiance and I to keep going back and looking at the photos. We purchased about a dozen, on top of the photos already included). One of the photos that we liked so much was a little blurry, but we did not even catch it cause just reliving the moments through her pics made us super happy (yeah im cheesy so what lol) Anyway, she noticed the picture was blurry and told us we would not be charged for it.
Overall, the amount of integrity, professionalism that was displayed, and the passion that was felt by Michelle was second to none. I highly recommend her and her services!
Huge thank you, Michelle, for making this day one to remember!
(if you read this entire thing you are awesome... now hurry-up and go reserve your spot with Michelle!)
