Wedding and Event Decorating
Tyler coordinated our wedding reception/party in San Francisco. She's great! Tyler listened to the what we wanted, and was open to incorporating our ideas while applying her own creative touch (she did our beautiful flowers as well). Any issue that popped up, Tyler handled. She put us at ease with her professionalism so that we were able to relax during the event. She and Shaun worked very hard in making everything was right - and it was a lot of work (we were also there during the set up and breakdown)! Wedding and Event Decorating
Tyler made the surprise birthday party hugely successful! I work out of town and was not able to meet with her prior to the event. She had full control of the decorations and coordinating the event and it was a success! I received so many compliments on the event and it’s due to Tyler’s work. She was easy to work with, very responsive, creative, professional and friendly. And her prices are very fair and reasonable. When shopping around for a wedding planner/coordinator I was shocked by the price and avoided hiring one for months. I was fortunate enough to be referred to Tyler by a mutual friend. She was a fraction of the cost I had seen online. (Score!) She was seriously the best investment I made throughout the whole wedding process. As well as my favorite vendor. We sat down and I explained my day and she came back with dozens of questions I hadn’t even thought of let alone knew the answers too! She is truly the BEST! - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I believe that my fees should be in line with your needs. I don't offer packages because I feel like every event is different and has different tasks, therefore I price accordingly. Day of Coordinator fees usually begin in the $800 range. Full-range wedding planning can be 10-15% of your wedding budget. I am flexible with payments and really try to work with my clients to get them a service they will love AND afford. Additionally, I give a 10-20% discount on return discounts and referrals.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to have an in-person or phone conversation to really get down to the nitty-gritty about their event and their vision. It is very helpful when crafting a service based on their needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been in the hospitality industry for over 30 years! Everything I learned has really made me the planner I am today. I have been planning all kinds of events for 18 years, and it is truly and completely what I love to do.
