FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge one of two rates: either hourly, for ongoing projects (or tasks that may take a variable amount of time); or project-based (flat fees). Project-based tasks are still divided into billable hours, but the number of billable hours is based on a plan that I work out with customers regarding the step-by-step process of accomplishing their goals. If we need to add more time, or additional project "packages," that can be done with ease!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is typically setting up a phone call to discuss the client's needs. After that, we can schedule regular communication via a preferred method, such as email, Skype/Google Hangouts, Evernote Work Chat, or text messaging. Regular communication can involve letting me know of specific goals or of changes to an established calendar of duties.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Journalism with a minor in English Creative Writing and a Master's of Management in Library and Information Science. I also have experience with multimedia design and development, WordPress, Drupal, and HTML/CSS coding. I have worked in both fast-paced, dynamic, high-tech environments like Apple and for entrepreneurs or small businesses doing things like technical support, publicity, and other organizational tasks.
