I had no idea what to expect when I started looking for a personal trainer. I just knew I had to do something more than join a gym, and never go. Taking the free assessment session with Hugo was one of the best things I have done. You can definitely tell that he knows what he is doing. He is always well organized, hardworking, and dedicated to you, and your training. He's extremely patient with you, and always encourages you too. You are also provided with a meal plan that is easy to follow, and instructions for cardio training as well. In the past year that I have trained with him, I have lost over 30 lbs, and 4 inches off my waist. Not to mention I feel much better, and am stronger physically. I couldn't have done it on my own, and I don't mind paying for the help to get there. Hugo always works with your schedule, and is pretty accommodating. He truly cares, and wants you to succeed. You definitely get what you pay for, and it's worth it. If I didn't relocate up North, I would still be training with him today. If you want the best, train with Hugo!
Last winter I was fortunate enough to meet Paul and start my physical training program. I approached Paul with the lack of motivation to push myself to the level I desired. I wanted drastic results. I was ready to sculpt my body into top shape after having my second child. Although I am accustomed to weight training and competed in Division I college sports, I was a novice to Paul's style of training. I am constantly challenged by his weight training workouts which are infused with explosive squats, plyometrics, and sprints to name just a few. After six weeks, I had achieved more than I would have thought possible. The benefits included: a substantial drop in body fat (my leanest yet), increased overall body strength and energy, accelerated stamina, stabilized mood after recently having a baby, and sound sleep. After two years, I still look forward to each workout, and prepare for each session like I am pitching in the college world series, as he continuously keeps me guessing by introducing new skills and methods to keep my interest.

I spoke with Jessie before setting up a first session and he was so easy to talk to. Other personal trainers I spoke with were intimidating, but Jessie was very personable and enthusiastic. I set up a time to meet with Jessie for an evaluation where Jessie assessed my fitness level. From the start I was very impressed. Not only is Jessie in phenomenal shape, (which is what you want from a trainer) but also he is extremely knowledgeable and motivating. Jessie went over my goals with me and outlined a plan. From there, we immediately went to work. The workouts are intense, challenging and fun. I leave looking forward to the next one. Jessie is very patient and corrects your form on the spot so that you are doing the exercises correctly and getting the most out of your workout. Jessie also educates me on my nutrition and the types of food I need to be eating to maximize my results. I look forward to getting into the best shape of my life with Jessie. He gets my highest recommendation!

I have been working out with Erwin for a little over a month now. My body has improved a thousand fold both physically and health-wise. Myself; I no longer suffer with constipation (I have had issues since I was 14 years old) weird phantom pains (I had for the last 5 years) or lack of strength (from years of not exercising). I have never worked out before, and working out has changed my life for the better. Erwin is the best. His expertise is extremely valuable. My own personal fitness goal is to be totally physically fit again and tone. With Erwin, I am on my way!
Aaron is a very motivational workout trainer/partner. He is extremely knowledgeable regarding different workout techniques and activities tailored for different body types and goals you'd like to reach. He not only instructs you, but teaches along the way. Aaron also provided me with great nutrition tips and even went grocery shopping with me. Working out with him did not feel like a chore, he made sure to make it fun. With Aaron, I looked forward to working out, we did everything from free weights, plyometrics, boxing, and sprints. It was nice to have a trainer who actually knew what he was doing and didn't charge a ridiculous amount to hire!
Chris is punctual and personable. He is calmly competent and gently motivational. He is also flexible when we need to reschedule, and he isn't at all flustered by the chaos created by our small kids while we are working out. The workouts he has designed for us targeted everything we told him about our goals and issues, started at exactly the right intensity for our current fitness level, and have been building up at exactly the right pace (not too fast...trying to make sure we stay in it for the long haul instead of flaming out). I'm really glad we hired Chris and definitely recommend him!
I've been training with Brad for a couple of years and he keeps my workouts fresh and challenging. Brad takes the time to modify my workout to suit my physical needs and is so knowledgable and positive. He is continually looking to improve his clients' experience and has recently acquired a bigger facility with more equipment. I'm so happy to have a trainer that is so dedicated and really works hard to keep me healthy!
Eddie has the experience,the knowledge and puts me through a tough routine that is showing results. I am surprised at how much I can do with the various exercises and weight machines that Eddie utilizes with my workout.
Simon is one of the best personal trainers I know. He is very professional, dedicated, genuine, and downright awesome! He is always on time and ready to push you to and through your limits. Over the course of two months and he pushed me through my complaining about squats, moaning and groaning over push-ups, and tantrums over having to run suicides followed by burpees or more squats. He reminded me every time I would complain why I showed up and what my goals were. Every workout with Simon is challenging, intense, and fun all at the same time. Although I was concerned about whether my knees would hold up during intense workouts, he made sure that my form was on point and modified exercises where needed. As a result I have lost almost 15 lbs., added muscle and have never felt better. My knees are definitely stronger and I have added powerlifting to the mix. I couldnt ask for a better trainer in Simon, he understands fitness and helps you get results!

Maxwell was my personal trainer for a little over a year. During that time, I totally rediscovered fitness and had a fun time getting into really great shape. I met with him 2-3 times per week and each workout kept me guessing. We did tons of fun stuff in the gym - kettlebell work, traditional weight lifting, plyometrics, agility & flexibility stuff. He didn't just tell me what to do - he taught me HOW to do it, and WHY we were doing it. Also, Maxwell was fun and easy to work with. He was not intimidating at all & he's completely nonjudgmental. I always felt super comfortable working with him - which was difficult, since when we first started training together, I was new to the gym experience and felt very weak and unsure of myself. I always was scared of weight lifting because I didn't want to look 'manly'. I could not have been more wrong! I've honestly never been happier with my body. Maxwell's encouragement to lift heavy and work out intensely helped me become passionate about going to the gym and actually enjoying it. Based on his suggestion, I started competing in local NPC Bikini competitions and just walked away with 2nd place at the Colorado Open!! I could not have gotten this far without his excellent coaching and his personal passion for fitness. It was contagious, and I strongly recommend him to anyone.
This gym is the best! When anyone is looking for a trainer, I quickly recommend Chuckie and his gym. If you pay attention and work hard, you will get results in such a short time. He works well with anyone and at any fitness level so you will not be disappointed.
I have done small group personal training but nothing compares to EPE system Stephe encourages (demands) perfection, it's the only way to get results! What I have learned at this gym is that it doesn't matter how many reps you do but how you do them this will eliminate injury and produce real results fast. Steven knows his stuff he has a heart of a teacher which is what I was looking for. I have learned so much here. It's nothing like crossfit it's better safer,and way more effective. I believe in Stephen philosophy of training I signed my whole (4) family up. He implements dead lifts,bench press, cardio with and without machines, you get full body workout!i highly recommend EPE training gym.
UPDATE: I sort of miss the fitness brainiac I met that first day because the guy who leads me through a training session is not playing! I walk in and we are WORKING. LOL, if I could afford it I'd train every day with him. This is not my first rodeo but in just a few weeks Mike has made me see fitness in a completely new way and I am now typing this and looking forward to working out tomorrow. He has taken special time and consideration in designing a plan for me to do on my days away from him and a nutrition plan that is something an actual human being would do. In particular, this human being. This is not cookie cutter fitness. Because of a sudden medical problem, he and I have together adjusted goals and approach and my enthusiasm grows by the day. Today when I was loading boxes from garage to car I thought, I could use this as a training drill and sprinted and lifted so that it became a short intense cardio burst. And you know what... I feel pretty good about that. HERE'S THE ORIGINAL REVIEW: In my first phone call with Mike I was blown away, and it only got better. He is amazing. This is southern California and there's probably 20 trainers within 10 feet of you right now. I don't even like using that word for Mike, he is really taking a revolutionary approach to whole body / whole life fitness and health. He was clear from the first minute, it's about exercise and fitness as well as nutrition AND stress AND sleep... and if any one of those is off, none of the others work as well as they should no matter how much you work at it. So yeah, someone who's not afraid to say that you're not a hero for sleeping 3 hours a night and your body and mind both need to be challenged and then they need to rest and recover. He knows SO much about nutrition, and his passion is infectious. He guides, advises, but does not lecture and is understanding. He told me so many things I never knew, and made me much more aware of how to get the most out of what we eat (nutrition as well as pleasure). He suggested something that I happen to know isn't right for me (FOR ME) and he was just "ok, moving on." He didn't push or lecture, he works with what's real. I felt fantastic after our first work-out. Mike will also impress you with his commitment, enthusiasm and follow-up. I like the big loft-like space, there was great energy and even though there were multiple trainers and people working out, it somehow felt very personal and private at the same time. Mike is the guy.

I've been attending Lisa's workout classes for about a year now. She teaches cardio cross x which combines old school aerobics, plyometrics, kickboxing, strength training, and core workout! She has 30+ years of experience under her belt and teaches other styles of workout such as Pilates, body sculp, and more. She is an amazing instructor and friend. She knows everything about how the mind and body work. She's gone out of her way and stayed late to give advice on workout related questions I've had. She's amazing at what she does and I would highly recommend you to attend her classes. She brings great energy and will help bring our the best in you. Her classes are challenging and will push you to your limits. It will leave you wanting to come back for more! Guaranteed!.
At the beginning of the year I decided to hire a trainer to help me achieve my goal of losing 10lbs and becoming a faster runner. I found Susie onThumbtack and hired her soon after speaking with her. Susie was my trainer for 5 months. In those few months Susie put together a diet that helped me lose almost 15 lbs and she helped me make healthier food choices. I only worked out with her twice a week but she made sure we maximized our time and kept me focused. Susie motivated me constantly. She knew how intimidated I was with many of the machines and the free weight area of the gym so she made sure to incorporate different equipment during our sessions so that I would be familiar with how to use them once I decided to work independently. Susie also incorporated interval training and plyometric excercises to help me with speed on my runs. Since I began working with her my average pace has improved dramatically. Susie was exactly what I had hoped for in a trainer. She is both professional and knowledgeable. She far exceeded my expectations.
I have been working with Dillon for a few months now and he has been incredibly professional and has worked tirelessly to gel me reach my goals. We focused on plyometric and body weight training initially and lately have been doing some moderate strength training. He motivates me to push myself and provides awesome feedback and pointers to get the most out of my workouts. I would strongly recommend this trainer!
I've been training under Ticia's guidance for two years. During that time she has trained me with a variety of moves which keeps my body challenged. The workouts have included; plyometrics, cardio such as hiking, kettle ball workouts, free weights, weight machines, running hills & stairs and body weight excercises. Ticia has created meal plans and inspired me to learn meditation. She is basically my life coach, trainer, therapist and friend. Someone who can in one way or another relate to my life needs and goals.
Shane helped me tremendously with corrective work for my flat feet as well improved my surfing skills which is why I sought out training to begin with. He also started me on a great path to enhanced wait training and plyometrics.
As an already-established fitness addict, I was running out of new and challenging exercises for my strength sessions. Avis restructured my entire training program by incorporating slower movements and adding tons of plyometric exercises! Since training with Avis, I have built more muscle mass, improved my conditioning and stamina. I'm always looking forward to the next session!

Monica is an AMAZING trainer!!! I have been working with her for over three years, and she has transformed my whole body. I am stronger, leaner, and happier than ever before. She's incredibly skilled with so many different workouts including weights, plyometrics, pilates, and kickboxing. She keeps workouts interesting and fun. She is upbeat, funny, and kind, and I always look forward to our sessions together. I cannot recommend Monica highly enough!!
David has been my personal trainer for 9 months now and whether he likes it or not, he is sometimes my therapist--listening to my work or relationship issues between squats. He is the perfect balance of supportive, and no-nonsense, what every great trainer should be. In that time, my body fat percentage has gone down 7%--which, ladies, is amazing. He is very versatile with all styles of training and lets the program adapt to what works for you. We've done everything from heavy lifting, basketball/football drills, boxing, yoga, and plyometrics. He's very talented, and I only hesitate to endorse him more because I want to keep him to myself. That's how good he is.
